  1. i have that opinion on Dling in general. i get shows as thwey coem out in the US, watch the epuisode and then delete it. To me, thats watching it on TV, but with no ads. I DL anime and keep it if there is no English dub (So I have Gundam 00 for now, but will get rid of it once the dub hits here).

People who DL stuff like this and movies then complain about hoe ridiculous and expensive everything is are idiots.

You also gotta remember that those ads are paying for that show you're downloading so that's stealing too.

  2. Abba, Bee Gees, Blondie aka Debra Harry, Bonny M, The Carpenters and the new millennium career revival successes Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley. :D

Boney M? We got this commercial over here some time ago, pretty funny.

Read the comments to get a translation.

  3. Tell your boss about how, when you're surfing your favorite forum, dedicated to a 25 year old anime, instead of working, you have this annoying banner over the forum controls and demand a new monitor.:p

::EDIT::Tell him to get you a big 24" widescreen tft because it'll be easier and faster to read the forum and you'll be able to get back to work faster.

  4. Because I'm disapointed! I would have thought that for something to be of better grade than the 1/48 to at least retain what the 1/48 has. But you're right, I probably shouldn't spend money on a new line of 1/60s.

The toy is smaller than the 1/48 and it's Perfect Transformation unlike the v1 1/60. If they would've added all the details they put into the 1/48, it would cost even more than a 1/48 making it smaller and more expensive. Would you buy it? I know I wouldn't.

  5. i would like to have one too, but its too expensive for me.

also got the cheapo 50mm 1.8 II and its optically sharp as hell. was really impressed with the IQ for $80

I think it's expensive too, which is why I'm saving up for it. I thought about getting the f4, but I might regret not having the extra two stops because I plan to take pics of car races with it and it can get pretty dark and cloudy over here, even during summer.

I might get the 50mm 1.8 too. Nothing beats a prime lens in IQ.

    Back on topic.

    Here's what I got myself.

  6. Are you in the US Dante74?

I just checked my EMS tracking...

...Dec 28 16:43 In Customs (at the San Francisco Airport).

Nope Europe. Funny thing is, just 10 minutes before the delivery guy came, I checked EMS and it said it was still waiting at customs.

  7. Thanks for the pics Dante74.

I am looking forward to getting my defender, panel lining it, maybe weathering a bit and decaling.

The OD looks quite dark there. Is it just the lighting?

Nope, not the lighting, it is that dark.

There aren't that many panel lines so just weathering it might be your only option.

I'm thinking about weathering it and applying the stickers but I know they'll come off eventually.

    I keed I keed. B))

How come MW has over 8000 members and only 127 of them voted in my poll? Graham, Is there any way for the forum to automatically send an e-mail to each member telling them to vote? We might be able to answer one the most important questions mankind has ever ventured to find the answer to. I mean it's right up there with "What's the meaning of life, Why aren't bananas straight, Would women leave a slimy trail if they had no legs" don't you think?

  9. Dante, how could you be so insensitive as to ask such a question and not give us an “both” as an option?!?

It's a poll, so it's about choices. If I would've included an option for "both", everybody would've chosen that.

Like I said, there's no middel ground, unless you've got some belly button fettish.

Oy yeah, about the toy; I chose no and none.

It looks too much like a kids toy and I preffer my "collectables" to look as much like the line art as possible. If that means that I have to be very carefull when handling it, fine. Yamato makes models that you don't need to glue/click together and that can transform. Perfect for people like me who want an accurate representation of the VF, don't play with their toys and have no modelling skills. You shouldn't give it to a kid expecting it to survive. You wanna give your kid a Macross toy, give it a chuncky. Bandai tried to compromise between accuracy and playabillity and now no-one's happy.

  10. I think it is ok, could be a lot better, but it isn't the worst thing in the world. So I picked number 3 on that.

For second poll.. I am debating currently (as you can see in my sig) whether or not I will get a VF-25G, I wither will or won't so I selected VF-25G AND No.

For the third, I like both just fine, but I have always been more partial to the chest area in the end. Everything is good sometimes.

You like the chest area in the end? That would just look weird IMO.

    :p
