ah hah id like some of it personally, just a touch. i think it could be balanced well with the other aspects of macross! but we really won't know till we see right? and i think im okay with that! so long as we get more mech's and a decent story ill be content. But i think Sunrise has had a wide berth in stories told, what ever they do i think it'll be close to the heart of macross.... i mean macross is about having hope when there isn't much right? who knows we might get something entirely unexpected! i think thats the fun of it in itself. -

War in the Pocket and 08th MS team come to mind as well as Iron Blooded Orphans wich was a refreshing take on mobile suits as a entity at all. I’d probably prop Stardust memory up there to honestly, it hits some similar beats to me that Macross has sans idol culture. But I’ll have to disagree on 7, cause honestly that’s what makes that show great, it’s just a really fun time start to finish but I’ve not come around on delta yet. -
Looking through the manual for the Fast Packs, its kinda funny they have this: were as far as i know it was only 'sold separately' for the first release of the VF-1J and Fokkers VF-1S...

the extra tail fin, duh! that Toooooooooooottally makes up for it! come on all these people asking Bandai to make fixes to that mistake and they finally did it, you should be much more grateful! /s no but really, just make a full set pack Bandai. please. you did it once you can do it again im sure. There is /money/ on the table for a TV/Movie version with just everything... fully loaded lets frakking go. 🤦♀️

Finally finished up the wing pylons! Work pretty good and haven’t had issues with them breaking but I still take them off super careful. id like to make a version for the Arcadia YF-19 but the mounting is different and I don’t have a copy to take measurements for link

So long as its printed in PETG long term it should be fine, and so long as it is printed with gyroid infil it'll be solid, though the stand requires to be glued together! its pretty much sized the the default DX base including pretty close to the original's center of gravity. I'm currently working on printing one in clear PETG to, which is a much longer print at about twenty four hours and some change.

Its a stand i made and printed! stand arm is printed pointed 'up' with gyroid infil to keep it sturdy! i actually didn't intend for it to work with battroid but it does!

it is wild to me we got an angel birds and not the VT-1 or VE-1, as far as fan favorite obscure valk's go. Its also just wild to me that VF-1D is the only one with the Battroid Egress Seat? The TV and Movie variants only come with 2 TV style fixed pose hands ( while the VF-1D comes with all of them? ) The display stand is still the really disappointing hexagon but first releases had really nice display stands that could bank! ( And older DX toys had more specific display stands ) No missiles with the missile set having been a one time exclusive, it is baffling they didn't include respective missiles for TV and Movie sets Non-regular releases, i know Chogokin is the high end line that sees limited releases but still.... maybe with the whole big west and HG deal we'll see more? The weird issue with Super part configuration in fighter mode not having proper connections. And lastly, for some, no white landing gears ( im not bothered by it but it would be nice to ) Otherwise its a solid toy, and i think it'd be perfect if they at least included a few more things!

I can’t get over how good this thing looks!! it just feels great to play with and i think ive transformed it back and forth about five times now? i might have to get more... 😓

Finished the fancier stand arm, it can support a Valk in fighter or Gerwalk yet to test Battroid but this stand was always intended to display the after mentioned two modes! Will get the STLs in a File Today to share. Might need to do a shapeways thing to. Unfortunately, if i was to put this on shapeways it would cost over 100USD and that does not seem fair to me in the slightest, I will look to see what i can do on commission work for those without printers who might want one. https://cults3d.com/en/users/Ropefish/3d-models

Got a few more mounts to share, testing sizing on the dual mounts and can’t tell if I like them close to the wings or not… they do see a a touch to close! I’d be running more tests but been trying out some different stand arm options for the display base! Including the low profile arm when I package up the STL’s

Got it in today, kind of wish it had different options for pilots ( would love two rank and file pilots ). But just the weight difference between this and my Arcadia Elintseeker makes it feel really nice to hold! its wild to me the other VF-1s don't have the battroid egress seats? regardless, i really hope they do the Elintseeker and Super Ostrich now! that stand though.... going to have to print a better one now.

Im actually planning on selling the STL files, i don't know /when/ ill post them as im still tweaking the design! ive already made a whole new version of the base, and added in a bolt for the banking connector, and i need to get my hands on a DX VF-1 to make adapters for that as well, along with connections for the Arcadia adapters.... maybe a NUNS base if i get around to it.

what are the chances that the VF-1D gets a re-releases? Its honestly one of the most interesting looking in the line to me, but the after market prices are already double, if not triple release... And what are the chances of a VT-1 release? I assume bandai making a an Elintseeker is a very wide long shot but they could easily make the VF-1A, J and S in cannon fodder colors right? As cool as the 'hero' color fighters are id love to get some more slandered rank and file guys. Its just not an option to get after market for me, let alone attempt to re-paint one given then price id have to pay.

Test prints have come out great! tweaking a few more small things, need to print the double mount still but the fit pretty firm. Printing vertical ends up being better but does result in the sharper angles loosing visual clarity, the quad mount is probably best printer this way however and you can see ive simplified it a lot to not be hampered by this.
