  1. It looks like the seller is going to resolve this the correct way. They sent me a prepaid return label and will send the correct 1/60 once the return arrives back at their store. Hopefully the listing gets fixed to avoid any possibility of this in the future.

  2. Should ask the seller if they could edit the title and product description to be more specific. Also the product box dimensions are for the 1/60 version. Take the measurements of the box. If it isn't like the one they listed you can tell them it wasn't like the one described. Just having VF-1A in the title and product description is lame.

Multiple sellers use this listing. An edit is probably difficult to have approved. Great spot on the product dimensions. Amazon does have great buyer protection, so I should be able to get this solved. Another find: the seller is also listed under another spot that is for a 1/48 VF-1A Max. It is against Amazon policy to have the same item under multiple listings - to prevent buyer confusion.

  3. Wanted to ask the community to verify what I am seeing on an Amazon.com listing:

    https://www.amazon.com/Yamato-VF-1A/dp/B001QTWSPY

The pictures are of a Yamato V2 1/60 VF-1A Max, at least that is my belief. No indication of movable flaps, canopy appears tinted, no airbrake, and the proportions are a V2 1/60.

The reason this comes up is that the seller shipped a 1/48, and appears to believe that they are OK in doing so because the "VF-1A" title is ambiguous. They do not want to accept the return. I've also pointed out to them that the Q&A section has two answers, both of which indicate a 1/60 V2.

Hopefully to fix the root issue, I did submit an incorrect product report to Amazon that the title should be changed (and gave them the correct information). That's unlikely to change, but I did try.

  4. Not sure of the full name, but the initials are F.N.G.

I kid. Looking at the sticker sheet, there are several. These appear to be all of them:

    R. Fokker

    H. Ichijo

    M. Jenius

    H. Kakizaki

    Fallyna

    Warmaker

These are tiny, and very hard to read, so I may have some letters off. Being white letters didn't help either. Even using an iPad camera on max magnification didn't help enough. I needed a magnifying glass.

  5. One of the new things I've observed with my new Hikky and Max is that the shoulder-joints are really extra scary-tight on the Hikky than even on the more newer Max.

I really thought it would pull the same tragedy as one of Jenius' HMR Roy did.

In fact, I'm actually still a bit worried about it and am being quite extra careful with this particular Hikky-1J.

My VF-1S Roy's shoulders are scary tight. The VF-1A CF feels perfect.

  6. Closing this thread. All of the Valks are gone.

Parting with a number of Valks, mostly 1/48 Yamatos. These are also listed on Ebay. I am in Delaware, so shipping is quite a bit less for East Coasters. All are from non-smoking environments.

1/48 Stealth VF-1J with Super & Strike: SOLD
Opened and displayed for a brief period. Complete, with a few stickers applied, unused stickers included. Box shows minor wear.

1/48 VF-1A Low Vis Woodland with matching GBP: GONE
Both the Valkyrie and the GBP are included. Purchased from a dealer, stored out of light, and never opened. I'd rather sell these together; can break them if needed. Boxes show minor dings at the corners.

    1/48 Miria VF-1J Super: SOLD
Opened and out of the box for perhaps 30 minutes total. Otherwise stored out of light. Box has about a 1" tear at one corner. Complete and no stickers applied. If you are looking for a 1/48 Miria, there is another for sale on the forum right now for $200, also listed as barely used, so that may be a better deal.

    1/48 VF-1S Hikaru DYRL: SOLD
    Never opened.

  7. My F had that issue as well. Managed to get them closed albeit slanted after some tinkling.

I did quite a bit of working with it and did get it to shut flush, but couldn't reproduce that every time. I also left it overnight and the shut doors popped back to the skewed position.

  8. The only toy I have tried from this line is the VF-25A Renewal. It had a very bad fit for the front landing gear doors, so much that they would not close anywhere near to flush. I could not tell the reason for the problem, but it did not seem to be a warped door - perhaps something to do with the parts that slide inside. That turned me off from this line pretty quickly. That's a shame, because I like the design of them in fighter mode.

  9. Wanted to say that I have a few of these now, and they have worked well for both 1/60 and 1/48 VF-1 toys. You just have to pay attention to the center of mass on the big 1/48s.

  10. VT-1 and VE-1 would be nice. I'm also hoping to see the full group of VF-1A's from DYRL, so I can put them together with Roy's VF-1S.

Besides those, I'm hoping to see some of the non-transformable mecha like more of the SDF destroids and the Queadluun-Rau and Nousjadeul-Ger.
