  1. Just my 0.02 about sundevil dvd... I bought an Fx set from him (Cowboy Bebop) and it was the real deal, so I guess you just have to ask if it's the right edition before buying (in this case I asked several sellers who used the sale Fx pic if they really had the Fx edition, and sundevil was the only one to answer positively)
  2. My short list : - 1/72 VF-5000 fighter - 1/???? Meltrandi Gunship
  3. Got mine today ! Small box with evrything nicely packed. Very professionnal. Great casting, no doubt. Decals are very nice and very thin with no visible glue. Nice to have a master for the canopy ! hehe My only reserve goes to the metal parts since I could do without the missiles, and the front landing gear will need some work (main gear is ok). Plus, the parts that are molded directly on a resin sheet : turbine details + other small stuff that will be difficult to remove from the thick sheet of resin. Overall I'm a very happy camper, money well spent, no doubt. Now it's time to stop buying and start building
  4. From the comments I read here and there, e2046 and hobbyfan kits are the same quality overall. Possibly even produced by the same workshops. For me e2046 is the better choice because of their incredibly low p&p rate, and they've been very friendly so far. That said, about the sdf-1, it's a common point to most recasts that detail is slightly less sharp than the original thing. Just after my order on monstersinmotion shipped last year, an original yellow sub sdf-1 popped up on ebay for the same price... I was so mad ! Btw, sorry Valk to somehow hijack the thread, it's nice to see that the VF-4s are coming along, with a complete model to be seen soon. Have you made a decision about the canopy ?
  5. I feel less alone now ! Ha ha it's somewhat pervert but I feel better about that kit ! Actually I finally ordered the sdf-1 from e2046. I've bought several kits from them (Five Star Stories mortar heads) and the resin and casting are far better. I could not guarantee you their sdf-1 will be as good as theit mortar heads because I don't know if the castings are always made by the same workshop, but for the price I'm ready to try my luck, at worst their sdf-1 should be easier to tweak. Heck I pulled my SDF-1 box off the shelf and it reads 149.50$ !!! And it's so crappy, I can't believe they have the guts to sell that. On the other hand I didn't protest at the time because I thought this could be the last opportunity to get an SDF-1. I might give a try at modifying my monstersinmotion kit to look like a Supervision Army craft, this way I could forget the poorly cast ARMDs.
  6. Not sure it's the right topic but since we're into exotic stuff... Has a Meltrandi gunship model/kit ever been released ?
  7. That would be nice. Having only one vac canopy always makes me nervous... So, I'm in for one of those VF-4 !
  8. I once got an SDF-1 from monstersinmotion and... well... I still haven't had the courage to take it to the nearest trashbin but this is where it'll end up anyway... And e2046 has one up for preorder at half the price I paid mine. aaagh If it's not too late I would possibly be in for a VF-4, what would be the price with shipping to France ? Do you intend to include an extra canopy or a resin master to mold a new canopy in case something bad happens ?
  9. Hi there, first post ! I've been lurking for some time... I saw Robotech when I was a kid, then much later saw it again, then M+, DYRL, M2, M0, then M7 and its oavs. -I appreciate the length of M7 which allows for good character development, even if a few episodes less (and ennemies) would be a good thing. I enjoy long tales and enjoyed M7 for this, it takes time to make characters change. -Music is good too, some songs are clearly better than others but I especially enjoy the songs where Mylene sings alone, "pillow dream", "kimi ni todoke", "go" if it qualifies (belonging to M7 dynamite), and to a lesser extent "sweet fantasy" -valks : plane form of the VF-17, and I especially like the gerwalk form of Basara's and Mylene's valks. -back to Mylene : I like the fact that she's somehow involved in many various things, more than what is usual for a female character in Macross, I'd say. Well, not sure it's clear, but what I mean is she gets a life and not only screentime.
