  1. Okay guys one question, does this thing have a front mount camera like the RF-4E Phantoms? I have the wing tips and tail parts kinda figured out, I think they are seonsor pods, kinda like the 4 seater A-6 prowler and that the camera is only mounted up front and not on the wing tips. Any idea's?
  2. I have started to work on some drawings for the VEFR-1 conversion on my VF-1D. Can anyone find better detailed pictures of the head of the VEFR-1? Actually any better detailed pictures would be good. I went out and bought a "do it yourself resin kit for first time users" to make the final product. I went to a local hobby shop and the guy suggested I use some type of clay to sculpt the parts and then use to as a mold for the resin kit, is this the right way? I have never done this so any help would be good. Once again thanks gerwalker for the pictures, you don't know how much it has helped me out. Cdr Fokker, thanks for the heads up on the VF-1D info, other wise I was going to use the VE-1 kit.
  3. Gerwalker, please e-mail me the pictures of the VEFR-1 like I said I have a few VF-1d kits, I would try it, I also have 2 1/72 VE-1 kits, maybe we can figure it out together.
  4. Promise, last poll. I have been following the 1/72 destroid monster project and hope to buy one when it comes out. But what about the other's? I would love to have a complete set which would include the Destroid Defender,Destroid Tomahawk, Destroid Spartan and Destroid Phalanx. 1/72, more detail, options and in resin would be awesome. Could you imagine if they came with the pilots and a detailed cockpit, that would be totally awesome. Who know's if there is a good response this could make a great fall/ winter project's
  5. Grayson72, your right there are some great kits comming out, but if this kit gets any steam built up and people would like it, I would love to jump on it. Trust me I can't wait to see all the kits on the current projects built. Since I do have a few spare VF-1D robot kits, I wouldn't mind trying to make this kit, I have never custom built a kit before, it is something I would like to learn. I have been studing the mold making books, but never did it. I work for am company that does the "pimp my ride" stuff and one of my Fiberglass guys wanted to try making plastic or rubber molds Any help guys, what is the best way to start, what should I do and what should I avoid, I figure this conversion is small, and maybe I can try to get my feet wet, or take baby steps. Any help?
  6. Phyrox...thanks for pointing that out, man I feel real dumb...lol I would love to get one even if it was a 1/72 kit.
  7. Thanks wicked ace for educating me on the harmony gold deal, to bad we couldn't go over to where they are and kick the A$$ and tell them to let the macross world be free and make whatever kits they want...lol J/K. I made my first poll, it seem okay, hopefully I can get a good response. Hey I am a cleveland browns fan and man let me tell you, it tough, so hopefully my macross idea does better than the brown's did last year. I am truley understanding why they call cleveland the, "mistake on the lake"...lol
  8. Hey all this is my first try on the poll, please forgive me if I mess things up. What I wanted to know is for all who have a 1/72 Hasegawa or 1/60 Yamato VE-1 Elintseeker, how many would like to see a small conversion kit made to turn their kit or toy in to a 1/72 or 1/60 VEFR-1 Electronic Warfare Valkyrie. From what I understand the VEFR-1 version has a different rotary overhead radome, electronic surveillance pod mounted on the arm, detection equipment in the wing, and retractable detectors in lieu of hands. I assume these parts would be add on parts made out of resin, so they can be glued on to your kit, so I think the price wouldn't be to crazy. i think you can use the VE-1 fast pack and radome, just re paint it. This way maybe it would be easier to just make the small parts. Here is a link to a picture of one, I really don't know what the head looks like, so if anyone knows more please let me know. http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/sdfmacross/vefr-1.htm I have no idea who would make it, maybe if we get a good response some one might get on the ball and jump on it. For those who do respond with a yes please tell me if you would like a 1/72 or 1/60. So add your name here if you would like to see it made: 1. BROWNSFAN72 - 1/72 2. jorawar_b - 1/72 3. christopherB 4. AlphaHX 1/72 5. Wicked Ace 6. jardann 1/72 7. godfather
  9. Thanks Promethuem5 Here is a link to the VEFR-1 : http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/sdfmacross/vefr-1.htm Here is some info on this: VEFR-1: Two-seater version with detection and electronic equipment for reconnaissance, ECM, and ECCM missions. This version includes a rotary overhead radome, electronic surveillance pod mounted on the arm, detection equipment in the wing, and retractable detectors in lieu of hands. VEFR-1 Electronic Warfare and Reconnaissance variant; VF-1F dedicated Electronic Warfare variant; VF-1B updated Valkyrie (VF-1A with a VF-1S's head; Macross only) I think this kit can be made, the hands, wing , maybe head are different. Any ideas on who to ask if they would make this? Also can one of you guys make a poll, as I don't know how to yet, maybe we might be able to get some people into it. Yeah I would have loved to get a AJAC and the ATAC hover tank
  10. Hey guys, Thanks for the input, just a few questions 1. Who on this forum makes kits? 2. What is the right way to guage interest for this kit? For example the 1/72 VEFR-1 Electronic Warfare Valkyrie, I think this is the same as the VE-1 Elintseeker and since there is a 1/72 non-vaiable kit already made, do you guys feel that making a add on kit to this model would work? This way some macross junkies (me) can update their VE-1 1/72 kit to a VEFR-1? Or maybe for people like me who own 2 VE-1 Elintseekers 1/60 from yamato have a fast pack add on to make one of the VE-1 into VEFR-1. I hope I am not annoying anyone, but I love this forum and who knows maybe one day I might learn how to make kits and build them for others. Thank you all for reading this post and thank you guys for responding to this post.
  11. Thanks for the "fyi" but I wouldn't mind seeing the "VEFR-1 Electronic Warfare Valkyrie " add on. How do you start a poll, I am confused on how to ask the questions?
  12. Hello everyone, I have been reading and following this forum for a while and figured out I would join and put in my idea's. I have seen alot of the kits being made in the 1/72 scale and it has given me a wish list, here goes, hopefully there will be a interest and some of the builders might pick up on this: 1. 1/72 VEFR-1 Electronic Warfare Valkyrie - 1/60 or 1-72 resin upgrade for the yamato variable or hasigawa kit. 2. Destroid Defender,Destroid Tomahawk, Destroid Spartan, Destroid Phalanx 1/72, more detail, options and in resin. 3. 1/72 Veritech Armored Jet Attack Copter 4. 1/72 ATAC Variable Combat Hovertank, ATAC Variable Anti-Aircraft HoverTank, ATAC Variable Quick-Strike HoverTank 5. 1/72 Alpha/Beta fighter/battloid - more detail 6. 1/72 Cyclone figure with armor 7. 1/72 bioroid set up 8. 1/72 invid scout ship. Just some of the kits I wouldn't mind seeing built, I am new to this, how does a project like this start? Is there anyone on this forum that would be willing to help?
