  1. Hello, well for those of you that have received or are going to receive either version of the Arcadia SDF, I PM’d Yeti about working on a better, more dynamic stand than the one offered in the box. He thinks he might be able to cobble something together, which I will help by providing measurements. Me, I ordered the premium version b/c who cares...so, once I receive it I will be sending measurements, pics, etc to Yeti to work on the stand. If anyone is interested and wants to help with measurements for Yeti that would be awesome too!!

It sure does, that's why Bandai's Quanta is doing that pose.  :D  It look so freaking good, I might just ship it early this time instead of waiting for the PW to fill up.

I agree, this has been so far the best looking release for any MB. Disappointing that the momentum sorta stopped with the announcements from the event. I guess the GFFMC Wing Gundam is another release to be excited over b/c it appears to be at least a new design as well.

Fans: we want a nu Gundam metalbuild

Bandai: here is a 1/60 metal version that will be priced out of reach to few/most customer of Metal build

Me: I am good with Strike

Really disappointed in this move. Didn’t the fan polls for the next MB declare the nu Gundam the winner? Why go faux PG with it? In my eyes, I echo that this looks like a ‘re-badge’ of the PG Unicorn. I know Bandai wants to reuse/re-purpose molds to help with the development costs of these figures, and across multiple toy and kit lines, but I really wish they took the time to develop a de facto MB Nu instead of this.

Also the Strike MB is pretty irrelevant compared to the PG Strike as it is one of the best kits still to this day. It’s not like the masses were clamoring for this to be MB’d. I guess if you wanted it with the launcher and impulse packs then this might quench your thirst, but the proportions are skewed, especially considering a fully painted PG Strike with Aile Pack is so damn amazing. I know it’s completely different line and hobby offering, but in my opinion, if I own the kit, I am not going to buy the toy version of it (Strike Freedom excluded bc it trounces the PG IMO).

  4. I sold my original Regults and then regretted it. Wife (who is Japanese) confirmed the set contains two Regults in the above mentioned post, which necessitated an instant PO. I own zero HM-R valks, but PO'd the hell out of the VF-2SS. It has been 25 years in the making, and a wish fulfilled since the old B-Club magazine that featured the craptastic, transformable model kit Bandai did in 1992. I don't care at all about the alt-universe situation, I have lots of love for the VF-2SS, and the ET line was just not cutting it. Bandai putting in work on the HM-R line and its paying dividends!

  5. Speaking of option sets how many went balls deep crazy and ordered all of the red frame option sets? It literally is the release that can't stop releasing! I got the dorky huge sword hilt/power arm set. Forgot I nabbed it and its just sitting there with the proxy. Anybody else get that thing and if so, had a chance to sit through and explore its contents?

Don't think I even tried AmiAmi for my F91. Wasn't that hyped for the design which is why I'm selling my only copy from HLJ (shameless plug) in the For Sale section.

But yeah, AmiAmi works out well for the HMR stuff, DX and Metal Build? Forget about it.

    -b.

Not hyped for the F91? Man, that may be the best MB out of the bunch until the Quan releases. Though I did somehow end up with three F91s, no idea how, during the madness. Sold all except the one. Now just waiting for the option set. Gotta support the only non Seed and 00 release homie!

  7. Snagged it on hlj. Honestly, they have been the best of late on getting POs out of Japan. Hobby Search has turned into a 'why bother' cart jack situation with their pretty terrible re-sign at checkout processes. Almost ditto for cdjapan, which I have benefited from cart jacking someone else after I was cart jacked during the F91 preorder. Biggest issue with hlj is finding the damn PO to begin with! I will say hlj does give you a scare in recalling the blue frame (I think) release where the server went nuts and oversold inventory, resulting in the "Thank you for your oversold order" fiasco. They have fixed it pretty well now, which allows for a bit of patience until you receive your notification email a couple minutes later. Big props to the poster who linked the preorder last night on MWF at 2:02am - I was able to cast my net out and reel in the preorder for this thing!

Yup , the kai in jp was sold out on the same day preorder opened.  Which is why some are waiting for the announcement of another run, myself included.

Dang! That sucks! The thing I did this time was give the proxy the link, setup the order, strangely on the wrong day (day before), but they secured the order anyways. That's nice - make them deal with he damn F5 madness. Though to be fair it may have not been that bad at first and pBandai sold out as the day progressed.

  9. Is p Bandai sold out on all of the Kai MBs? I mean, just proxy the damn thing direct. It is so much easier than dealing with the hassle on these other sites. Especially if you don't mind waiting for combining your shipments (if you're like me and order a lot from Japan). That way your shipping per unit just balances through economies of scale. I mean I get wanting to have the item as soon as possible, but I can wait for a friggin option part set, considering the Red Frame has the most option parts out of any MB (which is just odd).

  10. The US retailer MB 'upcharge' does sort of even out with the shipping being rolled in from JP, but you still have to pay for domestic shipping which sucks. I did PO that crazy Red Frame power arm set through proxy though, not sure I'll ever take it out the box bc it so friggin huge with that hilt/beam sword thing. Not sure I want the Kai either, along with still having a WIP on the PG kit, I'm kinda Red Framed out atm. Secured a 7 Sword PO though, so that's done with...wallet is on fire, and now smoldering ash..haha

  11. Metal Build insanity! Well, this one was a long time coming for a lot of us MB fans. Able to finally complete the collection gap from the outrageous secondary prices of the original release. Didn't pay any attention to the announced PO, but my last attempts at securing any PO with Japan retailers has been fruitless. Paying the US surcharge from on the respected  retailers has been the only true way of securing these as of late...ugh.

  12. RA is looking sweet...I just took my sweet ass time in sending my damn payment to HLJ. Seriously guys, where do you keep all of your stash from all of your figures, models, etc. My closet is bursting at the seems with Gundams, Macross and other figures...good Lord! I need to clear some space for this thing!

  13. Loving the F91 MB...it may end up being the best MB. I am so dang stoked that the Seven Sword is finally at least on the docket for potential re-release. Also it looks like it is getting a slight refresh as well from its original release (i.e. Extra markings a'la MB Exia's latest release), but 100% tell. Regardless, this is great news b/c the scalping on Seven Sword is the worst in all figure Gundamdom. Also thanks F360 for linking the site  to the Crystallized RD Unicorn, looks pretty spiffy for a RD figure.
