  1. If anyone has been curious about the YetiStand but not entirely sure what to make of it, i have a video review up... but no idea how to embed a video.

    https://youtu.be/WehexqEZm68

If you use the shortened https://youtu.be/ link URL then it won't automatically embed for you. However using the full https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= link URL will embed.

Awesome review, I echo what you said at the end about so many options seemed intimidating but once you have the stand in your hand, you really see all the creative possibilities and it's a great way to actually enjoy these collectibles we spent so much money on thumbsup.gif

  2. I suggest scanning through the last 10 pages or so of the Yeti Stand thread to get ideas on the different layouts you can use, but basically you'll need 1 dual arm (or the new knuckle) for every Valk you add on after the initial one.

BTW, I'm still a rookie at this myself, ChaoticYeti and others in that thread should be able to help with any questions you have.

  3. I based my setup on this post from the Yeti Stand thread:

For the triple arm you'll need

    1x YetiStand
    2x dual arms
    2x xl arms
    2x elbows

I originally wanted the stock VF-25S in the middle, and the armored and super versions flanking it ... the armored is just too heavy and big/wide without so rethinking the whole layout, it will probably need to be my center piece.

I have no fear of the acrylic not being able to support them, it's more of balance to keep the base from wanting to topple. I have been enjoying just playing around with the stand and the options, it's fun to see all the possibilities. And it looks so much better than any other stand out there.

  4. Nice collection akteon! Great photos! Dont you think the Cavaliers and Percival look great together! I also have my low vis Roy in SS parts too! :)

Yeh I was pleasantly surprised the colors on the Cavaliers and Percival look so good together.

Is it a weight problem, or balance problem? You should be able to get three on there, even with the armor pack.

You're right it's a balance problem. I know it's doable, just have to rethink how to get all three on there. Definitely impressed with the strength of the Yeti Stand, I just need to get the balance right thumbsup.gif

  5. vf25g_pose.jpg

First time transforming a VF-25 into Battroid, embarrassingly took longer than expected, but thanks to Jenius' video reviews turned out well.

I call this one the "Blues Brothers" ...

Had this for a while but hadn't taken a photo of it. Also noticed while resizing the photo I needed to dust it better.

Working on a Yeti stand display for these three but ran into a weight problem (yes that armor does make you look fat, Ozma).

Also anyone know of a trick for keeping the gunpods from popping off when using the Bandai stand adapters? They just won't stay on, especially on the armored and super.

  6. I got the VF-25G and VF-25S both graded "B" from Jungle and I was a bit hesitant at first, but couldn't beat the prices (¥24,840 for the 25G and ¥15,120 for the 25S). Came out to $205 USD and $125 USD respectively, before shipping and Jungle's 5% fee.

Both came in great shape. Flawless boxes, wrapped in bubble wrap and heavy plastic underneath. All accessories and interior packaging just as if they were brand new. Aside from cut tape, the only thing that made them seem "used" was a wee bit of dust on them and some lint stuck to the tape inside.

  7. They have a good amount of stuff on their site at the moment.. I snagged one of their RVF-171 too! Im currently eyeballing either a YF-30 or VF-25A for my son.. just a little hesitant of the "B" grading..

I just got a VF-25G and VF-25S both graded "B" from Jungle and I was a bit hesitant at first, but couldn't beat the prices (¥24,840 for the 25G and ¥15,120 for the 25S).

Both arrived today and I couldn't be happier. Both boxes were in perfect shape, wrapped in bubble wrap, then each covered in additional heavy plastic (not cheap shrink wrap). Everything in the box was pretty much exactly if it was brand new. All inner packaging there as it should, the only real indications it was used was that the tape on the out box & around the card board top over the styrofoam were cut and a very little bit of dust on the valk itself.

I don't know if I just got lucky but I've received stuff from eBay listed as "MIB" that was not in as good of condition as these two grade "B" items thumbsup.gif

  8. So after seeing that house for sale on Macross Court on the last page, I was bored and thought I'd try to see how many streets named Macross there were in the US.

Went to Google Maps and found this:

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/Macross,+Mountain+View,+CA+94043/@37.4199669,-122.0838372,17z/data=!3m2!4b1!5s0x808fba020103726d:0xa2ecaa4a27da7ddb!4m2!3m1!1s0x808fba01fe474411:0x4d3425e994c32210

Took me a sec to figure out what it was, but from what I can tell there's a Macross room next to the Gundam and Voltron rooms in one of the buildings on Google's main campus :D

  9. So the 2nd photo were usd without the lid, correct? Since the light portion is used for back lit? But, yeah, this is good. If it could only be mounted to the wall. That would be nice.

Actually I think the lid is still on in the second photo. For the top two cubes you can see a reflection in front of the cameras. Which is cool if the lid will stay on even when it's on it's side.

However, I doubt you have to have the lid on ever, so your idea of wall mounting to make it more like a bookcase should work.

I really want to drive up to Ikea and check these out but it's about a 40 min drive so I may not be able to get up there for a couple days.

  10. on the Ikea page they also show sitting it on it's side, so the light could also be coming from the back ... kinda cool you can use it either way

next time I'm there I'm going to pick up one or two and I'm sure I'll find some use for them ... maybe if they become popular they'll make them in a larger size ...
