  1. IIRC, she's listed in other works... In fact, she must be, because I got Macross Graffiti about ten years ago or so, but I knew about Miku in the '80s. She was probably mentioned in Macross Guide Book (which I no longer have).

Was she mentioned in any media made after the story of the disappearance of the Megaroad-01?
  2. Well... That sequence in Graffiti was pretty much invalidated by later events in the series. Note that there, they even changed to a new calendar, and the caption for that pic places it in "Year 0003 of the New Era."

Plus, the way Misa meets Riber and the way her mother dies are vastly different than in "White Reminiscences."

So is Macross Graffiti the only piece of fiction where she exists?
  3. You mean the ONLY instance...? Episode 6.

I only ever saw them in episode 5. So are you saying the name was spoken by the characters in episode 6 without actual Variable Fighters appearing? I can't find any part of the subtitles that has "SFV-26" or "Cavaliers" in it.

I mean everything from anime, books, figure packaging etc, when were they first named?

  4. Variable Vehicle is the cover-all/catch-all term. Everything else (sans Variable Mecha) is a specialized variation.

What anime fans term "mecha" is defined in-universe as "Mobile Weapon" for some powers (i.e.: the Zentraadi), "Valkyrie" (for the Variable Vehicles), or Destroid.

I use "Variable Vehicle" most of the time. But where does the Neo Glaug fit in? It can transform, but I am having trouble deciding if it fits into the category of vehicle since it does not have a pilot. "Variable Mecha" is uncommon and I don't want to invent yet another fan term like "Variable Craft", so I am wondering if there has ever been term to describe all transforming mecha mentioned in dialog, if not I'll settle on "Variable Vehicle".

  6. Most of them appear to be Picket Class ships, and a few Thurvel Salans. Some appear to be those classes, yet have extra/slightly different features, probably just the typical artistic flourishes animators often place into an animated series. Trust me, when you draw the same thing over and over enough times, you welcome a little variety :)

If you've got an episode number, I can grab you an HD screen capture, if you like.

It is Episode two timestamp 14:31 frame 10

It's hard to tell, while Picket Ships are much smaller, they have that tapering shape like the Thuverl Salan class
