Why are you guys arguing this DX is Isamu´s valk ? I know a similar one was seen in Frontier but, was it really Isamu? Was he phisically seen on it??

Why is Gundam more popular than Macross in Japan ???

Well I watched SDF Macross as Robotech during my childhood and I fell in love, I have re-watched it several times now as an adult and I still love it, the way I did when watched for the first time....I tried to watch the first Gundam series trying to find out the reason japanese people like it and honestly.. I did not like it !!! I consider Macross is far superior then, what happened? What is the reason Japanese audience considers Gundam as better than Macross and the rest of the world doesn´t? ...Any Idea?

I think this will be the new plot for the next Toy Story movie...

By the way.. I do believe my Valks toys may fly when nobody sees that´s why I free them from the box

Let´s face it...Both Bandai and Arcadia seem to be decreasing their will to produce Macross toys, specially for those from the original series so it would be nice to bring fresh ideas to market though at the moment no one knows if a 3rd party Macross production could strike it, the way it has been happening with transformers.

I'm not sure if YF-29 is being serious. Throughout all of episode 9 the armored VF-1J has a particular look. I sold my Animeigo DVDs after picking up the Macross Blu-ray set, so I had to dig out some dusty copies of Robotech for this quick check of the video (I know, I know). There is one brief moment where the goggles appear red. I would say THAT is the animation error.

The grey goggles are consistent. Here are a few more scenes for those who care:

Edit: Arcadia has been good about adding sweet extras. For this set, an interchangeable 1J head (white goggles and grey goggles), would be perfect IMO.

I finally see the grey googles are part of the armor I mean: VF-1J + Armor = Grey googles... VF-1J with no armor = White googles....Mistery solved...Thank you. Grey Googles are in fact a removable part of the armor. Do you tjink Arcadia is going to make it happen?

Perhaps it would be the last VF-1D reissue which sold out in pre-order phase and I agree Arcadia should improve the next VF-1 release with new colors, squadron emblems or maybe a wheathering/battle damage design improvement. Amaze us Arcadia !!!!

Do you think Arcadia is going to announce a re-release of any "old mold " VF-1 Valk on this next Wonder Fest?

Is there any chance for Arcadia to announce any VF-1 in Weathering version?

Well I hope the hidden message is they will reissue some TV VF-1 valks....

I just want someone to explain me if it is true that Harmony Gold owns the SDFM worldwide merchandising rights (excepting in Japan) granted from Nue studios and Big West for the eternity, How was that contract ? What were those japanese guys thinking about? Why did Kawamori allow this to happen?... Can someone explain?

Considering both the VF-1 Valks scarcity (Arcadia is not currently producing any new VF-1 unit) and the constant elevation of units price in market nowadays. Don´t you guys think it would be a perfect moment for Bandai for a reissue or rather for a new launching of those most wanted (e.g. VF-1D) valks in 1/100 hi metal scale? Are we witnessing the end of VF-1 Bandai Valks will of production?

I´ve always had the feeling Kawamori will talk about the Megaroad story in a movie, OAV or TV series, maybe this next one won´t be, but I´m sure it will happen someday...

I hope this one appears in market soon to encourage Bandai /Arcadia to produce the stuff we really want !!

I'm afraid Toynamies will be the only ones avaiable for a while in 1/100 scale, it´s OK but we could have a better assorted valkyrie market for both select and purchase in our own countries!! .. It's a damn shame Harmony Gold owns International Macrosss monopoly. ( ¡¡They didn't even create the I.P. !!)

Well Now I know the reason Bandai did not re-release their VF-1 1/100 Hi Metal line..Bandai was defeated by cheap Toynami Valks !!!... I Can´t believe toynami won !! I was late for hi metals party and I guess I will have to conform with toynami Valks..Should I?

or maybe Should I wait for a Bandai re-release Mercy?? What´s your opinión guys?

I am looking for a VF-1J 1/100 Hi Metal by Bandai and I have learned I could purchase one at Mandarake for a fair price, I see some of you guys regularly buy there I´d like to ask you about the condition of the items is it worth the price? and which would be a good deal for a Hi Metal nowadadys there...Thanks beforehand for your kind advices...

Actually, during the same Q&A session Producer Kawamori complained that the 3 pillars of Macross limited what he could do story wise. He wanted to get rid of one to be able to tell a new type of Macross story. He already did this once with the Musiculture.

Then...How could we explain the existence of "The Ride" or "thrash" ? or How could we explain they were allowed to release by using the "Macross trademark" ? Wasn´t there something missing on them?

I see there is still a "M the first" manga like reboot hope floating in this thread....and what about a story based on another manga (I´m not sure if it´s a manga anyways)...it is..."Macross the Ride"...Let´s think about possibilities it may offer..races instead of battles..and customized valkyries from all over the previous Macross releases..to take advantage of released molds for toys .It would be funny and interesting to me..."Adrenaline fuel for valkyrie races and a bit of rock n roll"...

Time to really predict the re-release of the most wanted Valkyries including extra figures...I am wishing the VF-1D Hikaru, Minmay, with "teaching Roy",Minmay in falling position, Hikaru in closing the cockpit position, and the little minmay cousin...Wish made.
