  1. Chronocidal.

Bandai new releases are all NEW toolings, easy to see if you compare the new pics with ones of the Fine Molds ones.

I will see what comes later makes sense for them to do guaranteed sellers first.

The new Star Destroyer looks good and also seems lit.

Not sure how much kits they will release in addition to S.H. Figuarts, etc announced Toys.

As for Fine Molds kits get them now as current stock is all that there is and will be.

  2. Might be of interest to some.

Noticed on HLJ that Bandai is reissuing their 1/60 range of Patlabor kits in August.

Hope the sorted the Problem with the rubber parts as in previous kits they tended to weaken the internal frames.

  3. More random pics.

    1/144 RG Excia.

  4. Heard news that Fine Molds lost their Star Wars licence to Bandai.

So stock up on remaining kits, thought something was amiss when they announced the last run of the 1/72 MF and no upcoming kits,

    Bandai announced 3 kits: 1/12 Darth Vader, 1/72 X-wing & 1/72 Tie Advanced.

This also means no more F-Toys collectibles as Fine Molds made those Masters.

Also heard that Hot Wheels will release some die-casts next Year.

Not sure how current USA and European licences are affected.

  5. Currently at home for 3 days, part of rehabilitation.

Doc decided I will stay in hospital till end of July but in exchange I will get more rehabilitation stays like this one.

Currently working on the RG Excia but don't feel the love for the holo stickers. First you apply a chrome sticker than attach the holograph part over it.

End results looks exactly like decoration tape I use above, plus you really need to get the surface smooth and apply the chrome sticker perfect.

Also the green "lit" stickers don't look all that impressive when covered with the clear green parts.

The plated parts for the sword would look better painted with Alclad II.

Apart from that a great little item.

  6. Working on my Chibi-Maru J-Navy, will consist of Yamato, Kongo, Musashi and Akagi plus a P38.

Started on the Akagi & Yamato and I am blown away:

This little SD Ships are 4inches in length and pack a lot of detail and parts, some also come with photoetch.

The Akagi comes with 3 fighters(3 each) and each has 2 parts and 7-8 decals, the carrier alone consists of over 100 parts, the smallest cannon being 1x2mm.

    Serious tweezers time.

Found it better to ignore the assembly sequence given and do my own.

Hulls below the waterline are one-piece and the ships can float.

Fun stuff just like the old egg-plane kits.

  7. Been playing with the D-Style Scopedog, waiting to get the paints for it delivered.

Very nice little kit with all the trimmings/Gadgets:

    2 Heads for Chirico

    Hatches open

    Sensor array rotates and swivels

Right arm can be build standard or damaged

    Fist punch works

    Leg spikes work

    Can assume Down form

Turbo custom leg rollers are included.

Hope we get more Votoms kits in this range as they did for Patlabor.

  8. Got a few kits here with me now:

    1/72 Layzner Baybull

    SD VF-19 with Fold Booster

    D-Style Scopedog

    and a few others.

The D-Style kit is amazing with possibility, etc.

Looks like we just entered Tsuyu(rainy season) here which means very high humidity but not so high temps, just sticky and uncomfortable.

We won't get relieve till typhoon season starts, humidity makes painting a gamble.

August is a real pain with high temps and humidity.
