  1. I never pay for an item up front, seen to many 'Makers' take the cash or you had to wait for ages due to family, work, etc problems.

Worst are they guys that need X-Orders and maybe half up front before they can produce x-iterms.

    Usually very bad communication too.

  2. Anybody considering a Poll for the Arcadfia YF-19 to show OK deliveries vs problems, problem-types and split across Sellers.

    Price-point is optional.

Might be helpful for future orders.

  3. Totally forgot mention I am using 'Kitchen Bleach' to strop chrome some work faster than others.

Below 3 products I use often:

    1.) Kosutte Gin San:

    Best Chrome finish http://www.1999.co.jp/10011510

    2.) Sabitennen:

    Real Rust on any material?

3.) Tamiya Panel wash in brown, black, grey, etc.

4.) Tamiya Limonene standard/thin Cement but no offensive smell.

Will soon post a PIC my Ride Armor stripped runner vs a plated one,

Found very few kits/toys that can't be recovered, Super Glue is the worst you can use.

  4. You will still get a pulse at low pressure, common for that type of compressor also watch out for overheating.

Nice compressor but not really for heavy-duty use and can get noisy.

My own compressor (oil) now 14yr old and still going strong is dead silent and runs as well as day 1 but cost 750USD.

If you get the right fittings any AB will work? You can get them at most DIY or Arts Supply stores.

My whole AB setup cost me 1.300 USD 14yrs ago, just no longer have the space to use it. A good setup will last you 30+yes with no problems.

P.S.: All my gear compressor and 6 AB are in storage right now, looking for a job where I can use them.

  5. Forgot how tough IMAI plating is most manufacturers strip in 30sec-5 min, this takes 48-72hrs.

But will be done soon, DOT 3 Break/Clutch fluid works faster but needs to be watched as it will soften/deform the styrene.

Finishing assembling the 1/8000 SDF-1 today, I will build and paint the whole kit before chopping the legs off.

Got a few SD Plane kits in the works lost one part but will soon have thast scratch build.

Also assembling the 1/250 Diorama robots for a combined painting session.

Tomorrow I will hit Yodobashi for some colours and a few extras.

    Pics will come soon.

  6. Started to make preparations to return to the workbench, still need to do some colour shopping tomorrow.

Today is to strip a plated 1/12 Mospeada Stick/Ley Ride Armor.

I hated plaster parts and strip and redo them with a local product where needed.

  7. HLJ ordering, etc processes are all automated/computerised.

I recommend to get a tour of their premises to see how they can handle their order volume with current staff.

Even Hobby Search tried to get them to spill the beans as their system is that good and that was 2yrs ago.

  8. Kotobukiya D-Style.

Those kits are the egg-planes of robot models in short SD or Super Deformed representations.

The are semi-prepainted and Snap together but I recommend glue for them, extra detail painting needs to be done to get a better presentation.

Just finished assembling the 4 D-Style Patlabor kits, pics tomorrow.
