What? We'd just be in that same position we are now. Broke with tons of valks...

The Bandai VB-6 battroid stands fine in the detolf as long as it's not on the base
-
We have now had a chance to settle into our new house and I have set up my detolfs with part of my wife and I's collection (think I need 2 more!)
VB-6 shelf
My Pride and joy! My VB-6 SP Version with some VF-100's for scale
(warning VF-100's are TERRIBLE toys! They look cool for their size but damn they are annoying to transform)
Frontier shelfJust Luca + ghost and Brera for now. I have the rest of the SMS V1 VF-25 but until I get some fishing line they don' fit properly yet. I may have to do 2 shelfs when I get more detolfs
Plus shelf
Isamu and Guld
I love the CMS figure of Isumu. "Forget it, In his mind, He's already flying..." - Lucy
7 shelfMiria and Gamlin VF-22s. Still yet to get the Max, haven't found one for the right price.
Bought the Miria from Mandarake for 8000yen opened. When I took her out to put on display there was still the factory plastic on her legs when I transformed her, never been transformed and tight as the day it was built. Very happy with that buy!
M&M shelf
Max and Miria Queadluun-Rau with CMS pilot figures. M&M keychans and Mint V1 Max VF-1J Super Pack in the backgroundAs many here do, I have a bit of an obsession with Max and Miria. It's just such an awesome story and they are such cool characters.
I'll likely end up with en entire detolf dedicated to M&M one day
Figures shelfOur collection of cool Macross figures
Notice the mint Miria collection in the back that I got for 1500yen!SDF shelf
Foker VF-1s and Max and Miria Robotech Masterpiece.
The VF-1s is the first macross toy I ever purchased.
I know the Robotech MPC are not as good as the Yamato stuff, but they are are just so cool as mint display pieces. They will never leave the box anyway.
Ghibli Shelf
Some of our favorite Ghibli collectables and model kits
On Top
Iron man, Bahamut, Miku, Alduin and most notably for macross the Ichiban Kuji frontier mecha collectionOther stuff
Some of my other misc collectables
EDIT: sorry it appears I have taken some of the shots a bit blurry, I'll replace them with clear ones when get home -
Well the Zentradi DO like shooting each other!

All that camping finally paid off.

I don't know you, but I officially hate you!
JELLY!!!
I have one out f the box, but it's waist joint is broken, still somehow transforms and holds together in 2 pieces though! But yeah be careful of that joint
-
I'll contribute to this thread. Just started collecting in September I didn't even know these existed till then.
From a kind fellow here :
My latest ones;
god damn, so jealous! Passed up a virgin road for $130 and regretted it ever since

That's exactly how I saw both skullmilitia, couldn't have said it better myself. Then again I do like deep shows as well. And no I don't count gundam as deep... I count it as spewing BS trying to pretend to be intelligent. Kawamori doesn't go out of the way to explain it, he lets the viewer apply their own interpretation and each person see a different part of the depth that matters most to them.

yeah I totally want that new Jetfire haha. He looks pretty cool. I don't like many of the modern retail transformers, but he has far more of the old school charm
-
Kicker, you make me cry every time you post in this thread. Not just because of how beautiful that collection is, but because it isn't mine.
-
Yeah watched the series with my wife and she's a fan now. Got her own valks and everything. Though the downside is that I just got some Ichiban Kuji frontier figures (pics soon) and as soon as I opened them she shot-gunned the Grace Vf-27... should have got a pre-nup...
Most definitely! Most of our major purchases are being put off in lieu of moving to a larger house. Once that happens, it is so on!Yep! we did the same. After the honeymoon in Japan, we came back with far too many macross toys. They have been boxed and waiting till me move into our new house which is almost built. Then when we have money to buy some cabinets so we can put it all up! So basically I'll have display pics in maybe 10 years...
-
Yeah. Better stand, same adapter. It is a little flimsy still so I agree I wouldn't use it for anything but a flat flight pose. I'd offer to post my adapter, but you know... Australia lol. I think the best option is to see if anyone can do a cast of the mounting slot and surrounding area with a material that has very small (if any) shrinkage. That way you can make a adapter that fits a little more snug. Even some precise measurements could work well enough for you to CAD it. I'm moving soon so mine is boxed up, but I'm sure someone could send you through some specs at least.

Saburo your pictures always look amazing!
And I really really want those new dinobots now. that looks so good. Keep posting the new ones when they come out! -
How did I miss that? I literally searched for b-club stuff the other day (on yahoo and mandarake)???? Thank you! ... now where do I get the money...
Edit: so turns out I really need to learn to search Mandarake in katakana! B-club macross yields nothing and neither does feff or gigamesh but ギガメッシュ (gi ga me -shyu) go right there! no wonder I couldn't find it! I'm pretty ok with reading katakana too, so it would good practice! -
When I went to Japan, Bariaburu Faita and Hebime took me and my wife shopping in den den town and Bariaburu even saved us when we missed the shipping depot (just closed!) and had to find a post office before we could catch our flight! Arms full of boxes we walked all around Osaka to find a post office that was open (it was 6:30 and we had to be at the airport at 9!). When we asked what we could do for him to repay his kindness, he said "just do the same if anyone from Macross World comes to the Gold Coast". And we will! If anyone is visiting Brisbane or the Gold Coast, hit me up and we can show you around!
-
Gold Coast
And I'd alarm that too! There is a fortune in there! -
OMG where did you get that Feff!!! I've been after that for years! That's my holy grail of resin!
edit: (just read, got to excited and didn't actually read you post lol) that makes me cry, cause I just searched yahoo the other day. good score
-
Haha I though so too after seeing those test match boxes. I was already planning the heist, but Sydney's to far. So it's safe... for now...
-
Yeah wmkjr, similar. The resin I have is for jewelery and it gives a good smooth clear finish, should invisibly fill the gaps if there is a little slack. It does however get plastic meltingly hot haha. So it depends on how much the acrylic can take. I was hoping you'd maybe tried it before but that's fine, I can can get some to experiment on before using it on a stand. I read back over some of the pages I missed and people seem to be getting perfect results from plastic welding solvents. Maybe that's the best plan if they fit sung enough.
-
Hey ChaoticYeti, do you happen to have any update on whether or no you will be able to do the clear stand feet? It will be a while till I can afford them but I really hope that you will be able to find a manufacturer(/you) that can cut precisely enough. If not how would the acrylic handle the heat from a clear polyester resin? because that might be a solution for me as long as it can take a good amount of heat. Never tried it with acrylic before though.
Edit: a couple of people seem to have some pics with the clear feet in (like above) and they seem to be holding fine, do some clear feet sit right do they? -
Thank god for re-releases! Wanted this for ages.
Oh that's cool, that just got added to my list...
-
Thanks for the advice! I will keep and eye on it. How would I search? do I just use romaji representations or katakana?
