  1. Hi folks,

As I said in another thread, I joined late to the party and most Valks that I would like to order, are already sold out, and just obtainable with stratospheric prices in sites like Ebay

    Question:
Do companies re-issue or reprint their valks from time to time? or should I just buy them because their prices are just going to keep going up?

Was looking at stuff like YF-19, VF-0[D,A,S]

Thoughts from the more "experienced" users would be greatly appreciated :D

It's all included in the kit. Which adapter you use depends on which way the arm is oriented. They're compatible with the ones included. You can also buy the VF-1 adapter he sells if you want. Also, that starter kit is assuming you already have the Arcadia display stand as it swaps out the stock arm for the Yeti one. If you have some unused DX stands laying around, you can use the DX starter kit in the same way.

Edit: It's the Yetistand alpha thread a few threads below.

Ohh, thanks for pointing it out, I was missing that important detail, the base is not included with the "starter" kit...

So, if I have absolutely nothing, I should start with the Yeti Beta I guess, and then add any adapters for the valk...

Yetistand would be the best in terms of display options/availability but pricing might be a factor.

Thanks man. Looks like Yeti's will be the the option to go, and I'm happy money stays in the community ^^

It's definitely cheaper than those Yamato launchers, and seems to be worth what they cost.

Lol still trying to find that thread, with no luck :( Would love to see some more pictures...

  4. Thank you Mr. Slave!

Does look very nice indeed. Do you mind if I ask you some questions about it? (you said "or anyone else") :)

As a complete noob, I think I would obviously start with the Arcadia starter kit:

Do I need some sort of extra-adapter to display it in Fighter mode? (or any mode for that matter)

The VF-1S does come with some "extra pieces" that I think are for that purpose (bottom left), but not sure if they would work with Yeti's

  5. Greetings chaps,

I currently own a VF-1S 1/60 from Arcadia, and already thinking on expanding my "collection". I've seen several... SEVERAL of those display stands, some transparents, other looking like a Macross crane.... I would like to ask to the more experienced users, what is compatible with what, and how does it work?

I've seen some very nice looking ones but they are on a 1/48 scale :( too big, or 1/72 too small

There are other on a 1/60 scale but made from a different company than Arcadia

Any particular recomendation based on stability, "gripping" (Honestly, no idea how does it hold it), I would really appreciate

    Thanks!

TL;DR: What display stand would work for this https://hlj.com/product/ACA82128

  6. Morning chaps,

(Stupid customs) I need a Gunpod for my brand new Arcadia VF-1S. If I remember correctly, all VF-1 use the same weapon, and also, I understand that Yamato versions are "compatible" with Yamato.

Also open to other alternatives (3D-printing, cookie-sculpting, whatever that can give Roy a Gunpod)

    Thanks!

  7. (Note to mods: I read a bit rules and FAQs and was unable to pinpoint the best place to post this, as it would fit several other forums, feel free to remove/move/edit this post if required and apologies in advance)

Just a few days ago I joined this wonderful world/club of "Valkyrie owner", with a very nice Arcadia 1/60 VF-1S (w/ Strike Parts). The lovely folks at my country customs decided to remove the Gunpod... and now I'm sad :(

I've contacted HLJ, but since the product is SoldOut/Discontinued, they can't help on the matter, and looks Arcadia only deals with Japanese customers.

    What are my options?

    - So far I've scoured every buy/sell website or forums (including this one), and unable to find someone selling it (Yamato's would be "compatible" with Arcadia, right?)

    - Are "spare parts" or replacement service where I could buy one?

    - Has anyone 3D-printed it?

    - Any other options that you can come up to help in this situation?

    - To the mods, should I x-post this to other forums like Workshop? (didn't want to spam)

Any help, tip or suggestion would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  8. Ok guys

I could really use your help here...

Im trying to start a thing.. (business type of thing ^^) and I need to buy those yammies, hopefully with bulk discount.... besides HLJ, what are my options?

should I give a try on those HK dealers (if someone knows any, of course)?

    thanks!

    ?

  9. Hi guys

I was "away" for quite a few months...

I was hoping someone could help me with this... I checked some prices on HLJ, and they are about 33% more expensive than the ones you can find on ebay (mostly from ppl in Hong Kong)

Do they have some kind of BULK dealer on HKG?

    thanks...

  10. Valk are really nice...

... but its kind of "boring" displaying them on some crytal shrines....

.. put some background (and some not ) figures like destroids and enemy mechas

    must my opinion..

    ?

P.D.: Talking about milking the Regult.. how about a "shooted" Regult? With tampo of bullet holes or maybe even some fire and cracks in the hull.. just to add flavor to the scene ^^

  11. You won't be able to buy direclty from Yamato Japan. You'll need to find a secondary wholesaler.

    -K

Some sort of "no-"non-japanese" policy" ??

Well.. the goal is not buy retail..... do you know a "secondary wholesale" ?

    thanks again

  12. i think he means he wants to BE a store and distribute...in which case i guess Yamato sales would be the place to look...

I tried contacting yamato at support@yamato-toys.com but I guess they didn´t understand english =/ (should I try spanish? )

Hope someone could help me (**cof cof Graham cof**) contacting the sales department (translators are welcome ^_^ )

    Thanks!

  13. Thanks for the replys guys...

... but... let me put it this way... all of the store you previously mentioned bought big volumes of yamato products and got a discount (I guess...)

That´s the contact I´m looking for. Don´t want to buy a box of Valks, but a BOX of boxes =)

Hope someone can help me ^^

  14. I think that the 1/48 stealth strike and super parts are the best. I do have one set but I want another , not now because I can not afford it at this point but in the future. Anyway, it seems that if it sold out everywhere then it must have been popular so why not reissue it? plus it looks so great? Does anyone know if Yamato will release a reissue of this and/or the combined set?

I really hope they reisue it.... I´m also having trouble trying to find it (with the Super/Striker Parts of course)
