At the end of the day, get where you can get it cheapest and reliably.  IMPORTANT: if you are not buying from corporation (bandai or arcadia exclusive), I really advise you to pick the protection plan that covers fraud.

save money and buy one on release date. Just expect that it will never come close to SRP unless you or someone you know is located in Japan.

Hikaru VF-1S have similar story, it was selling out at 30k+ yen, but on release date, they can be ordered from time to time at 25k yen. I am big supporter of NY but try to admit it now until their services improved.  (there are a lot of cases of order right now being delayed or not fulfilled). And ultimately, avoid Ebay.

irc, it has a similar system with HLJ, items arrive at warehouse, each item can be stored a set XX of days. You customized from your warehouse which you want to be shipped together (and the price you want it to be declared, which is useful for some countries that is not US for example).

I thought anything not macross is not discussed in the main section, but can be discussed in the Anime or Science Fiction.

I dont know the history behind it but Mandarake has been selling merchandise without Big West sticker for 500 to 1000 yen less from time to time.

It can be

a. Completed item that failed the QC

b. excess product that is not bought or sanctioned by bandai / big west

c. some employee from the factory stole it and sold it

d. there are big west sticker hoarders / collectors

e. Insert stupid or legit reasons

I like it since its getting close to looking like my favorite gundam, Strike.

It never did sell well. It was and maybe still is shelf warming. A few months after its release, I got one for 10,000 yen in Mandarake without any missing accessories, while it is regularly sold at 14 to 16k yen for opened.

I think it is a refreshing design and bought one during release window at 2000 yen marked up from SRP (From NY) back then.

NY strategy changed now. they used to offer the cheapest shipped price and people are okay with the delays as long as the price is right.
