What did I just watch?

Kid friendly designs bouncing around doing physical comedy. I understand that's for the really young kids but who is the humor for? Adult fans? Nope to them Transformers is serious business. For the little kids parents how have to take them to see this? Cringe dialog like that is going to make their experience better. Doesn't matter what the Transformers say kids will enjoy the bouncing robots.

Got it at my grade school's book fair. Thought it was a knock off. Might have one broken part of it somewhere still.

This show is really good.  Last episode our English man was hardly in it. Majority of it focused on the Japanese cast  and they got all the juicy dramatic scenes.

Only place they could take his story is somewhere really dark. Kill off baby Yoda and goes off of a murderous revenge killing spree. Using all of his suits weapon inventive ways.

But I don't think Disney would do that.

Guessing the entire movie is just them in nut house the entire time while having delusions.

Eel and Snow Serpent looks the same as the earlier release to me.

Pretty sure there's review-bombing going on. Actual opinion among fans and casual public is likely an even split down the middle. If you seek opinion videos and articles about this show post trailer, you'll see many are focusing on a certain narrative. One that if I mentioned here would be political sounding. Which is something we try to avoid bringing to our forums. There's a large chunk of the population who doesn't care about Star Wars but if you inform them about it and frame your complaint around this touchy topic all these people will mobilize.

In general, I'm not the keen on Jedi stories. I thought one of the lessons from the original trilogy and the prequels was that the way of the Jedi was wrong. Kenobi and Yoda didn't look back at the past with fondness but with regret. If only we weren't so set in our ways... that sort of thing. I think the cartoon and the fans themselves made the Jedi way as something to be idolized.

When I see this trailer, I just see more boring Jedi and their misguided ways. I might have thought Ashoka and Kenobi were pretty lack luster, but I know fans of the cartoon Jedi went going crazy for it. I don't expect greatness for this show. I'm not the intended audience. Many of these Disney shows aren't spinoffs of the movies. They're spinoffs of Filoni's cartoons. If it this show is mediocre that's fine. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised by a thing or two.

If you have zero idea what Robotech is, and you saw that cover at the comic bookstore what else can you conclude?

Disney certainly has the money to buy all of Macross but it really isn't worth it. As a streaming service, they need fresh content that doesn't cost much to acquire. Delta the last series came out what 8 years ago? The rights to stream Macross can't be that much. Bet they got it at a discount bundled together with other series. Outside of Japan only the most informed anime fan knows about Macross. I doubt that the streaming numbers Disney get from it is going make them buy all rights and make that live action Robotech movie we've all been waiting for.

This gets big groans from me all the time. They got force users dressing up like either the Jedi or the Sith with lightsabers and they live by the code of these orders. Everything about them screams another Jedi or Sith who shouldn't be around during this part of the timeline. But it's okay because they haven't fully paid back their Jedi student loans. Meaning technically, they aren't a Jedi.

That would be nice, wouldn't it? First episode we get all the Jedi fight scenes out of the way with them getting killed off and the rest of the series is a gritty detective story.

A band of Jedi wandering the woods and fighting with light sabers - the plot of 99% of all Star Wars fan films.

One thing going for this show is that it is set in a different era. That should mean no dumbass elements to connect it to the Filoni/verse like with Kenobi.

Anyone else besides me find Dune (in general) to be a bit overrated? All nicely made films, but I'm not impressed by it as most people are.

One idea I always had for a series is a search for the Megaroad that happens not too long after it goes missing. They send a new crew on a new ship. Of course they never find it but are swept away to fight some new threat that can only be defeated by music and love or some crap.

Cool repaints from the inferior cartoons just what everyone wants.

It's a little too late for a movie.

What else is there to tell? He grew as a character by putting baby Yoda above his cult's code, did what was best for baby Yoda's welfare, got kick out of his cult, got back in his cult, got back with baby Yoda, defeated the big bad twice and returned his people to their home world.

I wasn't home for yesterday's attempt so they're bringing it today. 

Pretty sure each of these movies exist in their own alternative universe. That may or may not share the same characters, actors and take place during the same time.

They had a sale on it a couple weeks ago and added more options. I tested the app again looked the same to me. Pretty sh*tty looking heads. 

Underwhelming is an appropriate description. They can make a trailer that gets you hyped to see something but the actual product doesn't really keep the casual fans attention. I don't see him taking the kind of risks with the franchise that will get people talking.

He's passionate about his work, and a loyal company man but the talent is not there. Or be more exact he seems to play it safe. Guess that's what Disney wants. I like to see the guy wow us all with an original live-action project that doesn't have a built in audience of fanatics.
