Hey y'all. Bought this 1/60 VF-171 Alto Valk when it came out, transformed to it robot mode for display, didn't touch it again until I transformed it back to fighter mode for storage yesterday. I'd forgotten how frustrating the transformation process was, but maybe you'll have better luck than me. The toy is complete with all parts, in excellent condition, having only been transformed once and back. It has one flaw I found: there is a small chip in the black painted plastic that surrounds where the right hand slides out of its cowling (see picture). Otherwise, it's essentially new. Box is also excellent condition with light shelf wear. I'm asking $200 shipped via insured USPS parcel post within the US. Please PM me if interested. I'm on the SSL here.

Finally broke mine out last night. I like it. Battroid is larger than I expected, and looks menacing. Transformation is a pain, and it does seem to be a bit light for its size, but still a fun toy.

Hey, I accomplished something today!

Pet peeve: market pricing is not "capitalism," merely the interaction of supply and demand. It's an instrumental value (a tool), rather than a goal value (a result). There's nothing morally objectionable about market pricing in the abstract, as it usually produces the most efficient allocative result. We can and do object to market pricing in certain situations of extreme scarcity when the result is morally reprehensible, say, the price of water after a natural disaster. As others have noted, Valk pricing hardly fits into this category. In fact, we usually like market pricing for Valks when it protects the value of our "investment."

Anyone got a (all) human alliance figure? I have been meaning to pick one up, but can't decide which one is the best. My two favs, at least in terms of alt mode, are Sideswipe and Roadbuster. If you got 'em, which one is the better of the two. And also, if its not one of those two, which H.A. is the best overall.

I've got Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Jazz, and Barricade. Of these, I only dislike Sideswipe (if you want mine, PM me and you can have it for a song). Jazz is probably the best overall, but I really like Bumblebee, too. TFW2005 reports that some discount stores (like Ross) are still receiving shipments of HA Jazz.

Where did you get the standard version? I want to make two. One as Macross of course. and the second as Jetfire.

Target (in Walnut Creek, CA) had a few yesterday at $34.99, not a bad price for a toy of this size.

Great toy, and fantastic pictures! I just picked up the standard version yesterday, and was wondering how I should modify it. Looks like it wouldn't be too hard to make a facsimile of the Starscream deco, altho' I'm sure my efforts won't look as good as your pristine specimen. Was also thinking possibly of a Macross Zero F-14 ....

Hey y'all. Anyone interested in a Soul of Chogokin Daikumaryu? It's smack in the middle of this photo:

This is the original release GX-05 version. Toy is complete with all parts, in like new condition except that a few of the tiny spikes on the red leg collars have broken off (these are the collars that go over the joints that connect legs to body), but this is barely visible. Box has light shelf wear given its age, and includes all inserts and paperwork.
