  1. Be careful when buying from Mandarake Nagoya. I bought two items from them, 1 Macross and 1 Transformers. Both were listed as unopened. When the box came, both items had the tape cut, making them opened. The Macross item was fine so not a big deal, but the Transformers item I bought was messed up pretty bad. Most of the chrome was worn and its noticeable just by looking at the toy.

I emailed them and they said the toys were always listed as opened. Sure enough I looked at the listing and it indeed said both were opened. I know for sure the listings said unopened cause I would not have bought the Transformers item if it was opened as I already have one opened and I wanted a sealed copy.

Every other Mandarake is great, I don't know why Nagoya decided to lie about this.

never had any problems with the Nagoya store but a few purchases I made from the Grandchaos (Osaka Shinsaibashi) store have proved a little frustrating.. Although the quality of the items I got were fine it was the order processing time and how long it took them to finally ship my items out that was the issue. Like a full week wait before they ship the item out after payment was made.. or waiting over a week for order confirmation.. If you have something for sale and someone buys it then get on with it and get it going! I find it thoroughly irritating..

  2. Haha! Seeing the sagging wing parts really bothered me. I had to fix it and decided to make this thread in case another member had the same issue.

well it looks your fix works a treat! You're a (Max) Jenius! :D hehe! see what I did there!? :p get it? genius.. I crack me up!

  3. I have seen storage nightmares first hand with what happened to loads of stuff my cousin had on shelves stored in his garage.. a lot of original boxes and contents suffered damage from mold and mildew and he lost a lot of good stuff. Not to mention mice and other insects eating away at stuff.. he has a 4 car wide garage with 2 spaces still taken by their cars and I think having the doors opened up fairly frequently along with what the cars brought in and gave off was always going to be a recipe for disaster!

  4. The battroid mount with this kit is a little unstable due to the added weight. Not forgetting the stress on the wings hinges. It will need added support. Bandai should have included one.

Indeed the stresses of the extra weight and potential loosening of the already highly compromised joints is of great concern.. nobody wants to display a difficult floppy unbalanced mess..

You'd think that Bandai would've taken these factors into account but I guess the bulk of the parts and keeping them as faithful to the anime as possible took precedence over that..

looks like there is not enough ground clearance.the lower fins on the VTOL is touching the ground

The Tornado parts certainly do look very cool especially in fighter mode. From what I can see due to the top heavy nature of these parts, having the 25 mounted on a display stand is gonna be a requirement if posed in gerwalk or battroid modes.. Gotta say though after getting the armored parts for Ozma (which I do really love!) I think I'll give buying anymore of these big add on part sets a miss. I even canceled the Michael supers I had ordered..

  6. I think a retooled VF-0 model that isn't floppy and feels like a proper yamacadia, is much more important than the shade of blue in my mind.

It's not the end of the world, but like I said if it's a big deal to you make a twitter account and let them know. Mr. K is very easy to chat with.

I have to agree with Gakken85. As much as the color is not correct, I'll just be happy that the build quality of the Zero has been brought up to (or beyond) the standard of the current VF & YF 19's..

Going back to the color issue, yes it is quite disappointing but maybe they had their reasons for it? But still when something is as closely faithful as possible to the anime it does make it that extra bit special!

  7. Wanted it to look like a tarp that mechanics use to cover open parts and such, doesn't look as good as I hoped . . .

my cousin use to use baby wipes which he dried out in the shape - position he wanted then dusted it over in what ever spray can color he needed. Cos they sag and form over the surface very well, they looked perfect! Maybe give that a go! I just wouldn't dry it out over the Valks themselves though..
