  1. @wolfx: Speaking of which, I lol at otaku rage.

    haruhiotakurage.jpg

That's the thing... it DIDN'T happen in the book. Endless Eight 2 was the first, last, and ONLY iteration published in print.

Apparently, one of the Haruhi season one staff has apologized for not being there to stop Endless Eight. Apparently he quit while they were planning E8, and was arguing for no more than 2 episodes.

After he quit, they plowed ahead with the Summer of Hell.

Kyoto Animation has issued a statement saying, in effect, that he don't work here no more, so his opinion don't matter.

Yamakan was the original director for Haruhi who for reasons i still do not understand got booted out of Kyoani during Lucky Star for apparently doing a bad job? Anyway being the original director for Haruhi he just apologised to show that he knew about it but the powers that be decided against him to show the Endless 8 episodes.

To me it feels more like a jab rather than a sincere apology

  3. Spice and wolf season 2:

i just watched the entire of Eden of the East:

had a great mysterious plot, great animation, interesting characters, a few bizarre plot holes but im not sure if this was taken from a manga which might explain that

i pretty much go to animesuki, look at whats up and if it seems interesting ill download episode 1, if that works ill get teh whole series or follow it

Anyone know of any new anime of the nadia/spice and wolf adventure variety? I hat most modern anime with overly complicated nonsensical plots that try to be way too deep. I liek deep meaningful stories but alot of newer stuff doesnt carry it well and tends to try to be deep for the sake of being deep.

Eden of the East is an anime original title. No manga. Not sure which plot holes you're referring to but yeah there will be a follow up theatrical release that continues the story.

As for adventure, i recommend Seirei No Moribito production I.G. Very nice visuals and intriguing story of a fantasy world.

  4. Someone's confusing real world with game world.

You fall over you pay the price and one of the only ways to represent this is to take damage and as the armour is the first line of defence it takes a hit.

How else are you going to do it??? It's a game mechanic, nothing else. It never ceases to amaze me when people start referring to real world physics in games and anime. Leave it for the class room ;)

Just to be clear i never played the tabletop game but read the fluff and play the PC games. So i wasn't sure what the context of damage Retracting Head Ter Ter meant.

He mentioned battlemechs are not revevant in real world but i was just pointing out how different their armour and weaponry were and demonstrated how internal damage was possible without considerable damage to the amrour, at least in the fluff not the games.

  5. why does collector value matter anyway?

are you keeping the 1/48 in hopes of getting some huge profit in the future?

    no right...?

Nope, definately not because i got rid of most of the 1/48 boxes.

Its like I can claim to be the only one with a VF-1A 1/48 Max in the future just like how some ppl can claim to have a very rare takatoku elintseeker.

    Bragging rights basically. LOL.

  6. Ferro Fibrous armor is apparently a ceramic-type compound that is quite hardy against current day ballistic weapons and missiles. Lasers do more damage but they melt the armour off slowly so its still quite effective against energy weapons. A modern day tank will just explode after a hit from a SLAS and their cannons will do minor damage to a mech. (lol MS Igloo 2 tank vs Zakus were pretty good fun to watch as a comparison)

I'm not sure how much damage you're talking about when the mech falls down but i don't think the armour gets damaged enough to have that part vulnerable to attacks. But perhaps the potential damage to the inside moving parts like the gyros and the endo-frame will be significant since its not damage taken from external weapons fire but from falling down.

Its just like how your legs can still get sprained when you fall down even if you're wearing protective medieval armour that protects you from arrows.

  7. lol....was banned once. Here.

For posting an image that gave different meanings to different people.....and some mods thought the meaning was more sinister than I did. I took down the picture after some people voiced their "concerns" but still debated heavily on why the picture isn't as bad as some people think. The mods were either deliberating something or took their time cause my ban came only a week later without any warning, with the reason being i was given enough warning *shrug*. Some stuff happened, was almost perma-banned, stuff resolved, and they finally promised to unban my account after a month.

Lowest point of my life.....as sad as it sounds, but i love this forum too much to be perma-banned.
