What am I looking at here? Is this an entirely new mold?

I'd wait anyway. I think it's a sure bet that someone is going to produce a superior version of the YF-19 pretty soon.

Just got my 19P in, that was fast! ordered from HLJ on Thursday, got it today, holy balls FedEx is on speed!

Haven't had a chance to look, but kinda don't need too, thatnks to all your guys great pictures.

Now just waiting on HKC to ship my 19S, I ordered that before CNY,so hopefully it ships soon, now that it's over.

I don't buy Yamato's Macross valks because they are cheap, I buy them because they're amazing. I don't want them to make some lower-cost alternative. There's enough of that going on. I can go anywhere and buy some piece of crap toy, but it's a rare company that makes something worth displaying on my wall.

Dammit guys, you've finally forced my hand. I was hoping to wait out the VF-19P and maybe get it on sale or at least delay the purchase for another couple months, but I just saw that it went from "in stock" to "low stock" on HLJ. So I gotta pick it up now or potentially miss out entirely. I hope I'm just overreacting and there will be plenty more Yamato offerings in the future, but at least I managed to nab my final must-have valkyrie on my list.

I hope we'll all be laughing about this freakout in a year's time because they vastly expand their Macross offerings rather than shut them down.

There are fighter mode true scale pics on anymoon also... No company ever nails 1/60 perfectly... They just get it close enough not to really matter. I think the vf19 goes from1/55 in fighter to 1/66 in batroid so it aveages to 1/60.

Disappointing that Bandai's Macross lineup isn't in scale with the standard 1/60 from Yamato. I always assumed they were all to scale, but my VF-25s seem kind of small.

How likely is it that Yamato will ever get a license to make Macross Frontier products? It thought the series was Bandai's baby.

After seeing how much the renewals are going for on eBay I'm almost tempted to sell mine. I paid $200, but if I could get more than twice that...? I won't do it though, I love them too much. But when money gets tight, as it is for me this year, it's very tempting.

As for Bandai vs Yamato--are Bandai's valks really 1/60? They all seem a bit small to me. Not by much, but more like 1/63 - 1/65.

I'm hesitant to order from a retailer I'm not familiar with, but you guys seem to trust them, so ok. Ordered. Nice.

Is there an official letter designation of the 171 similar to other VFs (A, F, J, P, S)? Obviously no one in the fiction would call them "cannon fodder." It just seems like a bad thing to call such a beautiful fighter.

Can someone explain to me what the deal is with the VF-19 ankle joint? People keep complaining about it, but I don’t have an image in my mind as to what the problem is. It’s just a ball joint, right? Is it just loose, or is there some limitation in the range of movement? Is it a design flaw or a QA issue?

So Bandai is trying to go out of business?

How likely is it that US retailers will have this available? I know they aren't technically supposed to carry Macross stuff, but that's not stopped them before.

Well heck. I thought I decided to skip this and wait for the inevitable V2 YF-19, but now I *have* to get it. It's more amazing looking than I thought it could ever be. My wallet sarcastically thanks you guys.

Why can't it say "no step" on the bottom of the wings? There is no up or down in space. They just want to be clear they don't want anyone stepping on it!

I'm far too cautious to attempt any custom work on my Valkyries. Too much money is invested in them and so much that I could screw up. That's what Gundam kits are for!

I had considered cancelling my preorder for the VF-19P, but that's not happening now! It's nearly perfect. I think I might like this even more than my VF-25 renewals!
