  1. I think the exhaust looks fine without the ports, The Q- Rau's always had a Raw feel and look to them, and the wide open exhaust it has now looks more brute. This is a piece to keep and will go down in macross mod legend I'm sure.

  2. These were transformed to battroid once and then displayed for 6 months in a room with no natural light. I'm selling them as a set to put towards a Yamato Queadluun-Rau or Toyami Regult. They are complete with instructions and also the included adds Revoltech placed in them. The only thing missing is one of the little fish hook tools but the set still includes 3 more of them. $100.00, (open for other fair offers) Shipping is free. I can only send to the continental United States and prefer paypal. Please PM me to contact, I check my email and macrossworld about once or twice a day.

I forgot to mention that I painted the rim of the VF-1S's 3 gunpod barrels silver to provide detail.

  3. I'm still learning and have never done weathering, but I noticed using 2000 grit sandpaper works well for the darkened/dirt look. I'll bang it up with some mud and blood for sure. The tail art is the same as the art on the backpack in Battroid. Its the werewolf marine squadron, I just made them on sticker paper on my inkjet.

  4. I'd like to paint a VF1 in a custom scheme I've been thinking. If I can not locate one of the assembled unpainted kits (most I see are unassembled) I was thinking of picking up a cannon fodder VF1 because their low cost and painting it. My question for those of you who are elite at this is (because I'm smart enough to be humble) Do I need to to do any prep on the paint or will the custom colors go over the brown? If not is sanding with 200 grit an option like a car? Or would I be better off to pick up one of the lower cost version 2 DYRL VF1A's as they are white and would that be easier to custom paint?

  5. I know they made two versions of the unpainted version. One is already assembled and not painted, the other comes in part and has to be assembled. I'm looking for the version that is already assembled and unpainted. Please let me know, I'm on here every couple of days around 8pm eastern to check pm's. Thanks everyone.

  6. awww... :getreadytoeatyourwords:

Dude you come here everyday, much like I do and everytime a casual member pokes their head in to check up what's going on, you're so quick to jump down their throats with a smart ass remark. And nothing in his post says that he thinks it's Mac 0 30th anniversary.

Graham also stated that Yamato had no interest in making a Macross. And there's no chance they'll ever get the Mac7 license because Bandai had a deathgrip on it. Graham has a definite connection to Yamato and he's first to know about any of that stuff but that doesn't give you license to take his word as a bible and smack people that don't check here everyday.

I'm kinda tired of the bullying around here. From you and other fans in the know. Share the info... don't show it off. It's not as important to them as it is to you. If anything, people just come off around here like big giant jaded nerds.

I'll second that. I'm a very new member who really enjoys macross but am not a master at it. I found this site and it seemed to be a great source to tether all the releases, models, and tips together, but I haven't posted like I've wanted to do because I don't want to get blasted from some die hard fan. Its a shame the culture of the conversations seem to be eroding into a yahoo like chat room instead of a great resource for fans. Great fans should share and help other fans not blast them.
