Sorry for asking another question so soon. But I am planning on getting a MB Red Draconics and an Amatsu Mina (Princess of the Sky version) from Ebay.

My friend warned me that both have some serious issue with their joints and backpack. Especially because the QC during Covid was very bad. What do you think? Should I just skip? Thanks in advance.

I have both and both were ok, solid joints, especially the dragonics

Nice haul, that Strike Freedom Soul Blue must have been costly or did you somehow land a good deal?

That's actually the price including tax, so the base price is 28,000 Yen. Definitely feels like Luna Park is price gouging, even compared to aftermarket prices of regular Concept 2 (sealed) we are talking anywhere from ~10k to 15k Yen markup.

Not sure that is really worth it for a slightly different colour variation.

Got this one at Amiami, 70k yens plus shipping

I don't believe the issues have been seen on any YF-19 release except for the Premium Finish version, which I'm personally leaning toward blaming on tolerancing issues with the weathering coating the parts got.

The part that doesn't make any sense with the AX releases is that they know the tolerances for those molds.  The parts that don't fit seem entirely randomly distributed through the production run, which makes me think Bandai have been outsourcing the production to alternate factories, possibly with alternate molds that aren't made to the same tolerances.

Or.. I actually wonder whether the 31AX is literally a kitbash.  What if it was cobbled together from extra parts and molds left from the original 31 production runs?  The ones that were almost up to spec?  That would explain a lot.

My YF-19’s ankle broke as soon as I was gettin ready to transform it for the first time and it was not the premium finish

So yeah, it happens to everyone

And the post with the stolen figure listing has been removed, proving my point.  :good:

Having a network of collector friends is always good.  My friend got me the Comic Turtles 4 Pack and I managed to price adjust with my Target card for 5% off.

Target came through bigtime for me.  😁

    What was your point again?

I wanted that 4 turtles pack but the seller ran out of stock

And yes, I know those are mostly stolen pieces and I wish there were another way of gettin them here in Mexico trough offical channels, however its near impossible

AliExpress is a nice store for Teenage Mutant Knock Off Turtles figures or stolen figures.  The pics are altered, the listings are not specific, and the availability and price of certain figures are questionable.

I got a couple Predators and some Universal Turtles from that seller, all legit

However some sellers do have knock offs of some Neca products

I was wondering if they might have used too short a screw, but that should have been a long sturdy plastic shaft, and it's not a rotation point, so I don't know what stress was even on that part to make it fail.  Maybe the shaft had a flaw that failed when the ratchet tooth pressed on it?  I don't know.

Unless the ratchet tooth was actually part of that shaft that broke?  That would be concerning, since it just feels like a weird design choice, when it looks like that tooth is a separate insert piece, so it can be made of a different material.

Apologies for the 20 questions about it, I'm actually curious what the full assembly is now, since I never wanted to pry out the screw covers to examine these, and every bit of information about the construction is helpful for avoiding or fixing these kinds of breaks in the future.

I was going from fighter to gerwalk, following the tutorial by Jenius when the lef leg just broke as soon as I tried to get it down from fighter

You are right, its not a rotation point

I guess it was mostly due to a faulty plastic or some over tightening of that screw since the blue part its a separete piece and shouldnt cause any strees on the part that broke

    Ouch!

Try to get some support from the Manda-shop you bought it from.  They do try to help sometimes.

Otherwise, you will need to contact Arcadia and try to get support from them. If you do get support from Arcadia, you will need a proxy-service for a japanese-address since Arcadia somehow cannot send items outside of Japan for warranty-service.

Yeah I already sent them an email to see if they can help me reach out to Arcadia

I think the problem was that the screw was not long enough to act as a support and since that part was hollow it just broke, I guess I can fix it myself with some Tamiya Cement and a longer screw

The bright side here is that you will probably be able to buy one of these cheap after release.  Historically speaking, only the Full Cloth models have retained their value well. With that said , as a big fan of the Crossbone line up, I will probably end up getting one of these if its sub $300.

I'm pretty sure it will end up sub-300

All the "normal" Crossbones are kinda easy to find
