The RX-78-2 Gundam (ver. One Year War 0079) is considered a ver. 2.0 by many. The ABS construction has apparently taken their place. You can see the details in the manual scans over at Dalong.net. This system looks to be sturdier than the PCs that tend to loosen up......can anyone confirm this?

He had it right at #97: And, yes, I'm also betting #100 is an enhanced RX-78-2.

The more I look at the heavy-use, customizing parts on the panel-lined -79[G] fig the more it is impressive..........most impressive. Maybe these parts will become a trend for other releases.

Not yet on a GM. The repaints also appear to kick-off a new box design. The Gundam Repaint looks to be the Limited Version (below), but with markings.

I thought I had some nice side-by-side pics of the JG Gundam and Gundan, but I can't find them right now (typical). Saw the trailer just yesterday and I am very intrigued and want to see it as soon as possible. Only issue is that there are currently no theaters playing it in the Boston area. Hopefully that'll change soon......

True, but it's not like this happens often. They are only doing this to mark the 33rd anniversary of the 24th episode that was aired on the 14th weekend and for the 7th time. Heck, if it wasn't for a special event like this, I'd be surprised if any RX-78-related merchandise would ever be released next year. So enjoy all ye faithful and buy, buy, buy, buy!
