So roundabout $390 - $400 shipped to the states..ouch...  Now the inevitable question...do ya bite on this one...or wait to see how much the premee version rocks your CC????!!!

Since I never got the Yamato version, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and grab the premium version. At least my CC won't be billed until next year...

  2. Awesome display, Edi! I like to have two points of contact on the larger Lego models. I add a dual arm or elbow to achieve the extra connection point.

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try!

  3. I built Benny's SPACESHIP! this past weekend and gave the Beta a test. It feels a bit wobbly with the heavy load of the Spaceship. It may work better with the shorter arm instead of the longer one, but I didn't think about that until I installed Poe's onto the Beta and used the Alpha for the Spaceship. I may give that a try this week when I get some free time.

  4. I got mine today as well. There is quite a lot of detail. I haven't had time to transform it yet since I'm at work, but I did take it out of the box to play with it. All the joints move around nicely.

The only thing scary was while taking it apart to put it back in the box, the stand and mount was really stuck. After a couple of minutes, I finally managed to pull it apart.

Other than that, I'm liking it so far! I just need to find a place for it...

*ketchup packet for size reference :p

  6. Idk, for something that's been selling for $400+ for over a year... a $30 dollar markup isn't much if you really want one. With registered air mail.. which is only about $30 bucks, it's right at $200.

Not insane for a hero Bandai Valk.

I agree it sucks, but it's either than or pray you're online when HLJ puts up their tiny stock.

Or pray they make more and flood the market like they did with Alto... which I personally think will happen.

This is why I decided to pay the NY markup price to snag a Ozma. As I've been waiting for a long time to get one, even close to paying those crazy $350+ ones, this was a good pickup for me.

Now if I can only find a good price for a armor pack for him, that would complete him up...

  7. I like how you use the vienna sausage can for size comparison. :)

Thanks, I figured someone would like the size comparison. :)

I managed to take a photo of the stuff I got today before the coworkers gave me an odd look. lol

  8. I received my Sheryl today from AmiAmi. It's the biggest box I've ever received from Japan, ever. I don't know if my coworkers will like me taking photos of it though. lol
