As much as I'm tempted to grab another unit at NY's better price I don't want to risk getting another poor quality/damaged toy. The manufacturing scuffs and scraped underside of my first toy leaves me wary of purchasing possibly another damaged copies from NY.

Am I the only person with this concern?

I just received my second CF unit, this time from AmiAmi, and it has the same scuffs and scrapes as the first unit that I ordered from NY. I haven't transformed any of the two so far though. I still have a lot of pre-orders open at NY, and majority of the time I don't mind their markup prices, as it helps me get some rest as I can never get into the tiny pre-order windows at AmiAmi or HLJ.

That looks amazing! I want to try weathering along with matte coating, but as I only have one of each figure, I'm too afraid of messing it up!

I received mine today as well. Its got a ton of scuff marks and over paint in certain areas, which is definitely disappointing. The joints seem to be OK, but I haven't had a chance to transform it yet.

I also decided to order another one from AmiAmi, as that price is too good to pass up.

Still no 171. I think I'm the last guy to be getting his.

I haven't received mine yet. But since it's regular SAL, which states 2-3 weeks, I'm not surprised it hasn't arrived yet.

There was around 29 when I counted in that last set. Did everyone manage to get one before they sold out?

NY doesn't really budge when it comes to changing orders in my experience. I had the YF 29 30th anniversary reissue in the same cart with my VF 171 CF and asked if they could ship the YF 29 when it came out but they said I had to wait for April when CF was released. Not sure why they couldn't do since the shipping charges on each was separate AFAIK.

Within NY's Pre-Order page, they do say this:

All the orders with items in stock ordered with an item in pre-order will be sent with the pre-order. (The item in stock will be in the same package as the pre-order.)

In this case, payment is required at time of order.

If you want the shipment of the product in stock immediately, please make a separate order.

In the case of an order with several items in Preorders WITH RELEASE DIFFERENT RELEASE DATE, we will only ship when the last product is release. (Payment must be made in full at for the release of the first product.)

A lot of companies seem to go by this ordering process from what I've seen. Which does kind of suck, but it is their rules that we have to go by I guess.

Got one at NY, was in a hyper-rush so I chose FedEx (it was at the top of the list) and didn't realize that was way more expensive than EMS (unlike HLJ's shipping prices). I just emailed them asking if I could change it to EMS. Anyone have experience with that at N-Y, changing shipping options?

I haven't tried changing shipping companies, but I have gotten them to change shipping addresses without any issues. Both times that I have contacted them, they've been quick to respond, like within a day or two.

I ended up grabbing 2 more, which makes 3 on order now. My friend wanted one so he'll get one of them. One will have armored setup, the other I haven't decided if I'll leave it plain or something different.

I don't think I can make it till midnight to see if I can squeeze into their nanosecond bidding war.

At this point I'm going to shoot for NY as I've done for the past ones, with either retail pricing or a little bit of markup, at least I'll be able to rest up for another crazy day at work tomorrow. lol

I'm still hoping I can pickup the VF-25F renewal, as I still have my v1. The VF-29 30th is on it's way to me.
