I'm in the middle of building a 1/48 right now, actually it's been over year since I started it. I think the cockpit assembly fit better on the 1/48 than it does on the 1/72. Just my opinion though.

Had a bit of a set-back tonight: the chest-plate snapped in half lengthwise down the center bulge while I was working on it.

(That's what I get for over-customizing I guess)

Seeing if I can repair it, but it's not looking good. I'll try to get pics when it's dry.Worse case scenario: I'll have to find a new chestplate (don't have one to replace this).

Something tells me that it won't be a problem for you to fix. If it doesn't come out perfect you can always disguise it as battle damage. Who likes shiny-clean-right off the factory floor Valkyries anyway?!?!

Totally on the buyers side. Seller said he bought 4 of these and never cracked them open, if he purchased them as the "Exclusive" then he got screwed. Just like buyers need to know what they're buying, sellers need to know what they are selling!

Wow, this old IMAI kit brings back some memories. Kinda a fitting since it's Mothers's Day and it was my mom that would yell at me because I was spending too much time playing with this kit instead of doing my homework.

How are you going to attach the legs with the one cockpit? I'm looking forward to seeing your solution.

Nippon Yassan is HORRIBLE!!!!!

Like everyone else here, I pre ordered the 1S and elected to "pay later" when it was still an available option... they charged my card immediately. I started a ticket on it explaining the situation and requested a refund. The refused to credit me or to honor the pay later option. I had to go to my credit card company and they reversed the charges for me and told me they will deal with N-Y. I got a confirmation a few weeks ago that my order was cancelled.

I hate Nippon-Yassan. Clearly their fault but they want to squeeze every dollar they can out of their customers, I will never order from them again.

Yup. Like everyone said, Nippon-Yasan has now a new rule on Tamashii Web Exclusive items since late last year, no Pay Later options. And for the record, I don't have problems with Nippon-Yasan as well.

For Tamashii web exclusives they've stopped the pay later option.

When I placed my order the pay later option was still available. I'm not one who pre-orders items and then cancels them a few weeks later. If a website states I would be charged immediately then I have no problem with that but I wanted to be charged later and that didn't happen even though the option was still available to me. Well I guess it was just my luck. For the record they did cancel my order and I did get my refund after going to my credit card company and having them reverse the charges.

Now that I got one with HLJ, how is amiami about cancelling a preorder? I never really use them..
