I definitely wanna go for the chunky monkey transformation contest. I'd also like to sing but not too crazy about a contest. Macross theme song and Ai oboeteimasuka (or is everyone else doing that?) I could also do pretty much any Minmay song. Macross karaoke cd is in the car should you need a backup! I'll be early Saturday.

Slightly off topic.

While perusing through all this con business, I came across a video from last year. I sing in an a cappella quintet and we're looking for a vocal percussionist. Does anyone know this guy from last year's con?

It's so poorly made and designed with today's industrial standard.

I bought the Ben Dixon type since I don't buy anything labeled Robotech unless it was an "original" item (I woudn't go near that Matchbox toy). Gawd, this was disappointing! I also don't care for the first line of Macross plus toys. The parts and proportions were just too far off. These are "hate-able" because these were expensive collectors' pieces. No thank you. The old plastic, tiny, misproportioned toys from the early 80's were okay because they were inexpensive and you saw what you got.

One of my fellow jurors was a Robotech fan so I brought a VF to show her in the waiting room. When the bailiff came in to see us, his face lit up and he exclaimed, "Is that ROBOTECH?!?!" One of the other jurors rolled his eyes.

Whoa...there's a 1/24th?!?!?!?!! I....want....one....

I would LOVE to have these! I like to collect the "rarer" type items even though most other peeps aren't into them. But I've mostly only purchased such things I've personally seen (back in the day) and of course, these were never around.

The upcoming 1/3000 Macross SDF-1. ALWAYS wanted a large scale toy of that ship. I can't believe it's taken 26 years but I guess it's not the most popular craft.
