  1. Up for sale is my 1/60 VF-22S Sturmvogel II Max type. The box has been opened, figure has been transformed once with care, no damage or wear on the figure. All accessories are included, only the guns were removed from the plastic tray for inspection, all other accessories are unused/untouched. After initial transformation, the figure was returned to the box where it has remained since. The figure is kept in a smoke free environment.

The price is $200 $185 total, shipped to any address in North America. For outside of NA, the price will increase depending on the destination.

  2. I did not know about the potential contribution to plastic yellowing that plastic bags pose! Hmm, I'll have to make sure to avoid keeping the figures in their original bags if I return them to their boxes. Better to err on the side of caution.

  3. I've never found the Private Warehouse options to be more expensive.

You actually do save money by combining items. The PW doesn't save you money just by having items put in there. What it does is that it allows you to order items over a period of time and you decide when they ship and how they ship. The PW option isn't meant for "make an order and then ship the order when ready". It's meant for people who intend to make multiple orders over time and then ship them at their leisure and to their specifications with respect to which items to ship in an order.

I've just compared the shipping costs of an order I have in my PW and the exact same order processed without using the PW option and the shipping costs are exactly the same.

PW saves you money if you take some time to arrange your orders to maximize the potential for putting smaller items in with larger items to essentially piggyback on the larger items and either minimize or nearly eliminate extra shipping costs that would be incurred if you put together orders that don't make effective use of the shipping box sizes that HLJ has. Weight is used to calculate shipping costs but that's not all. A major factor in shipping fee calculation is the size of the box the order is shipped in, the dimensions.

For an example of just straight forward savings made by maximizing the use of shipping box space, I recently ordered 3 model kits that fit perfectly into one of HLJ's smaller sized shipping boxes. The extra space around the model kit boxes was roughly half an inch on each side. The shipping cost was roughly 1500 yen. To ship each model kit individually would cost 980 yen per kit.. If I shipped just two of the model kits, the shipping cost was 1300 yen. By adding the third model kit to the order, I only had to pay an extra 200 yen for a total of 1500 yen.

  4. Good to know I'm not the only one, haha.

Now I have ZZ Top's "Legs" song stuck in my head!

    Onto more serious matters...

I like the idea of the weapon bay for the YF-30, though I'm not a fan of its look in Battroid mode. However, I've learned in the past that the best way to judge a figure is to have it in hand.

  5. I really want to like the Battroid mode more but the missile rack and how the wings are composed just don't look good to me. That being said, I do like the way that the lower legs look more "classic" VF in design with a more robust look to them.

  6. It's great to see more photos of the figure. I hope that it is not released in such limited quantity that pre-ordering it is as troublesome as it has been for me in the past when I tried to secure a DX Chogokin Renewal Valk.

  7. Buy any 3 or more figures from the list and get a discounted total price for your order!

3 items = 50% off of the lowest price item of the bunch.

4 items = 75% off of the lowest price item of the bunch.

5 items = No charge for the lowest price item of the bunch.

6 items = 25% off of the 2nd lowest price item, no charge for the lowest price item of the bunch.

    Hello there, folks.

I am putting up for sale many of my Japanese action figures, largely Kamen Rider S.H. Figuarts but also S.I.C., Ultra Act, Figma, and others.

This will be a sales thread that I'll be adding to when I can find more toys that I'd like to offer for sale.

I'm looking to give these toys some good new homes where they'll be appreciated more.

Most of these toys are MIB, they've been removed for display in a smoke free home. I will note which ones are MISB.

I'm selling these for MSRP so basically 100 yen equals 1 US dollar at current exchange rates. I'm not looking to make a profit, just to hopefully match the original price I paid for these items, most of which are available only through the secondary market at higher than MSRP listings.

If you wish to purchase a few items, I am willing to reduce the total cost a bit to make the deal a little sweeter.

Shipping per toy will be $10 in North America. It'll actually save you money for shipping fees to buy up a few if you're so inclined since I will be able to package a few toys for the same shipping price as a single item.

Payment will strictly be through Paypal for ease of use as well as security for both parties involved in transactions.

Please send me a PM if you're interested. I can take photos if you would like visual confirmation of condition of the toys and packaging.

  8. Honestly, I have no idea why Yamato releases low-vis versions, but never the more asked for versions. Case in point, Milia's TV Q-Rau vs her DYRL version. I think I can safely say that I'm not the only one who wants a TV Q-Rau to pose with my VF-1A Max TV version, and it's so easy for Yamato to just recolor the DYRL Q-Rau in TV version green.

I prefer the TV versions of the designs over DYRL and I especially would love to have a TV Q-Rau to pose with TV VFs.

  9. Thanks Newtype! I love having something to contribute. If you read through the years of posts here, you'll see a lot of people who have done lots of contributing and people like me have reaped the benefits. This is just my way of giving back! And I love learning along the way too.

Oh, welcome to the forums, by the way! Hope you find us all hospitable and decide to stick around. ;)

Thank you for the warm welcome! I just recently found this forum and it's looking good here. :)

I'm a long time Macross fan(big fan of mecha in general) and I've only gotten into model kits a couple of months ago so this thread of yours and some of the others I've found here are great education for a novice like me.

It's good to read that the decals are pretty difficult to remove once they're set.
