  1. My wife and I just watched the first episode of TRY - she turns to me and says, "We're back!" It was just as much fun as the first season, and we're excited to see what a central character Fumina looks to be. Also had a good laugh at the "Dee-zert" battle arena.

Ditto, just watched with my wife and kids. We had the same reaction to "dee-zero". My youngest son cried when was over because he wanted to see more. Our kids love looking at our Gundam kits that we've built, so they loved the first show and liked this first episode as well.

  2. Ok, I finished my Mk II!

After completing it, I'll say that the Mk II is hands-down the best RG kit I've done, by a very wide margin. Like I said before, the other RG kits looked great but there was always something fiddly with them, in some cases it was minor (Strike Freedom's shoulder armor coming off, being back-heavy) in others more serious (if you look at Zeta the wrong way his head is going into his chest like a turtle). Well, there really isn't any of that with the Mk II. He moves the way you want, with nothing popping off or anything. Even his skirt armor and backpack thrusters have stayed put for me. He's very solid, plus he was a the most fun to build. Plus, stuff that wasn't really a problem on other kits actually works better here, like the cockpit door or the clip to carry the bazooka on his butt-skirt. My only complaints would be that his feet have less articulation than the RX-78's, so the bent-on-one-knee pose is a little more work to balance, and that the vulcan pod on his head doesn't leave his head with a lot of room to move. Personally, I'm cool leaving the vulcan pod off.

Seriously, if you only buy one RG kit in your life, make sure it's the Mk II. This kit is so good I'm rethinking my decision to just to do the AEUG version.

I built that one a few months ago and liked it too. I've built four RGs, the Mk. II, the Zeta, Char's Zaku and a green Zaku and the Mk. II was the best kit. I have no idea how to get Zeta's wings to no flop around and the Zakus' power cable were a nightmare. Mostly I'm building MGs now, though.

  3. Don't know. That's another question for HG to ask on KS or at SDCC. One thing I'm starting to see on their KS page is "Where's HG?" and "The only place they want to answer questions is on their own forum." I don't know if anyone has tried to e-mail them but their KS feedback page is lacking in presence.I expect they're gonna get a lot more questions and more press at SDCC. Whether or not they will be answered or if SDCC will make a significant difference in funding is a question all by themselves.

Kevin's not really even answering questions, he's just posting links to articles about the Kickstarter. He was posting updates on how much money they've brought in but he's stopped doing that since the contributions have slowed down.
