The mother of Rey is the key here, I think Rey was born in the resistance. Leia probably sent her mother if she was Lukes wife, away when they heard of Ben destroying it.
Or maybe Luke didnt know he had a kid and the mother was killed and Rey found him again and Luke could tell in the force that she is his daughter,which is why the saber calls to her,Skywalker music when she reaches out and the look on Lukes face of surprise and anguish.
Anything is possible,I love the speculation though. Episode VIII cant come fast enough.

I loved those Mac Plus missile dodge moments, the whole combat scenes just,its excatly what ive been waiting for. I am so happy they have returned to Valk vs Valk dogfights,it just brings so much more danger and character to the battles.

watched it again, i just love that Zentradi attack and then when Kingdom of the Wind mob show up. Joygasms everywhere.
I'm just so pumped for future eps!

Just finished watching it, I really liked it. Good flow,giving us a taste of everything to come for a first episode. Loved the Zentradi attack, something just fills me with joy seeing them fight again. its how its supposed to be. The new Valks are great,the speed of the combat is gonna be amazing in future episodes.
Walkure seem fun so far, I like them alot better than Sheyrl and Ranka.

Thunderbolt ep 1 was excellent. These are the type of Gundam stories I really dig. Bring on ep 2!

I loved Django, but ive been hearing the Hateful Eight might be his weakest movie...I'll have to see it myself to make my own review, I like Tarantinos stuff.
I might wait till it hits bluray and borrow it.

Wow! that new PV is excellent! I'm really loving this and from the looks its gonna be much better than Frontier, since most of the characters are pilots and different factions we gonna have more Valk centered stuff. The animation style im really loving aswell,and Giri Giri to top it off.

The way i see it, the prequel saber combat was alot more refined and faster due to it being more commonplace. There would be lots of practice partners and training to get that good. As we step into the OT Saber training is almost non-existant. when we get to TFA even then Saber combat would be only taught by Luke,who after Ben and his Knights took it down, Luke stepped away.
So Bens training is pretty much self taught,unless we see Snoke being more of a hand in his training and not just a influence. Kylo WANTS to be Darkside, when he said he is torn he is talking about his feelings and the light side within him,he doesnt feel compeltely strong enough to carry out actions like kill his crew members for giving him news he doesnt want to hear, Once Han was infront of him he saw this as a way to fully remove a part of his life and light that lingers in his mind. He wants to be Vader but without the conflict of compassion,his father is the biggest pull for Kylo.
Then the fight in the forest,people say "he was beaten by someone that didnt even know how to use a saber" its a tool,Rey knows basic combat,she could use it. Klyo also kept beating himself due to the bowcaster shot that hit his side,and his mind would be all over the place after just killing his father. no wonder his saber skills didnt seem focused. I think Finn enrages him the most, Rey sure,but Finn really gets on Kylos nerves. Maybe becuase he was one of their own and he always pops up, as soon as Kylo saw Finn on the base with Rey,you could see him just going "goddammnitt!!! RREEEEEE"

Finally got around to watching Odessey of the Celestial Ark. Good watch,very fun with some interesting ideas. Great character interactions on the Yamato/hotel.
I kinda want a Lorelai statue now (that will never come) she looked cool.

my only gripe was
Dealing with Starkiller base was too fast, it was immensely powerful but a few X-Wings and boom,new sun. was over and done with no real build up,saying that though, it was still cool.
Gonna go see it a few more times over the xmas break.

Ford slipping straight back into the familiar Han we all love was just amazing, Han was Han. Couldnt be better.

yeah I stayed mainly in fighter mode, took out all the top spikes first. after he arcs up and stays put I kept activating my teams song attacks and specials to keep him busy while I worked away on the eggsacks in the tail. keeping my distance though becuase one hit and its all over. Once he lets the little pods loose and they are flying around I just stayed near the island bit near some rocks for cover and just kept special attacking him in the head and finally brought it down.

the story and visuals are still Trek but the action and fast paced nature of it seem abit too full on for the series, initial trailer reaction.

quite interesting that the designs are more along the fantasy side. Kingdoms and all that. So far they look cool though.

Got the Art of TFA today, Fantastic book and some real interesting ideas they where throwing out there. some where absolutely stupid and crazy but the artwork is amazing. All part of the creative process though,you throw all that crazy stuff in the mixing pot.
They even had concepts to bring in Darth Talon from the Legacy comics as a character in the film, I like her, but im glad she wasnt included in the movie lol.
