We are discussing a cartoon right? Why so much hub-bub...beam sabres, bayonets, etc.... all in all this is a cartoon and anything is possible. Come on, transforming airplanes, giant humanoid aliens that freak out when a guy and girl kiss or when they hear a song. If you think this is grounded in reality, then pass over the joint you're smoking there buddy.

Are there a total of 4 or 5 episodes to Macross Zero?

After reading a few details about the Macross story in Megazone 23 I've become interested in the full story. Is this out on video anywhere?

I haven't seen too many tpoics on this, but are any MW members collectors of original Macross art cells from the t.v. series, movies, etc. I know there was one original art cel from the t.v. series a month or so ago on eBay with Max's valk in battroid mode that I'm mad about not getting since it sold for only around $54. So do any of you collect these cels and which ones do you have, where did you get them and how much did you pay?

These are some pretty neat designs. I didn't see some of these in the Design Works books, are they compiled in another art book?

Jus saw this Macross 4" figure collection set #1. They are Mao Nome, Lynn Minmay, Mylene Jenius, Ishtar, and Hikaru Ichijo. I haven't seen these before in any postings. Are these any good?

After browsing through some Macross sites, I've see these following images from Macross 7, I think they have a pretty good design on the characters and their mecha. Anyone know where these came from and what other ones are part of the collection? I know Mylene and the Fire Bomber crew are missing.

Is there any confirmation that the armor and valk set will not come will interchangable hands that can hold a gun pod? That would kinda suck if this piece didn't come with the gun and only the armor.

Has anyone read the Macross 7- This Is Animation Book, I haven't read too many reviews on this book. Does it include original mecha sketches and worth the high prices it's going for?

Does this DVD contain the cut scenes from all the Macross video games, and is this DVD worth purchasing?

I agree on what's up with all the hate on the Voltron Masterpiece. I mean, come on people, the original version of Voltron was clunky at best (I have it). And for those who hate the look of the lions, take your Voltron apart and look at them, they are way out of proportion and when combined it is very inarticulate. At least the Masterpiece looks like it's cartoon counterpart. Watch the series gain, Voltron is suppose to be sleek looking, not beefed up. The only downside I see to the MPC version is the flat looking paint job and the expected high cost of the toy. Otherwise I like the look of the combined piece, I mean how many of you keep your Voltron in lion form vs. combinded form?

I just saw the Max VF-22s kit and it looked pretty nice. Did they ever make a transforming versions of this and is this a rare kit?

I just finished watching Macross II and while it may not be the most exciting story, some of the enemy mech Marduk designs looked real well done. Has there been a toy or models of the enemy figures every sold? How about the updated destroids as well?

Wow, that Valk II looks real well put together. How did you create the VF-2SS without incorporating the fast pack? I just picked up my own model of this figure this weekend for $26 from a new anime shop I found. I'm hoping to complete it after I finish up the Q-Rau model kit I picked up a few months ago. Does anyone know the going price of the VF-2SS model these days?

Where did you get those decals with the WWII girlie poses, those are pretty nice.

While I'm halfway through M7 right now I'm so-so about the series so far. I really wish the VF-11 didn't get it's ass kicked all the time since it's a cool looking ship. I really enjoyed seeing Milia fly her old VF-1, though why was she wearing the color scheme of Hikaru's flight suit instead of her full red/white accent one? My #1 complaint though is Basara. I find it irritating his constant pacifist view while people are getting killed and turned comatose and he just flys around shooting speaker pods into the enemy shouting "Listen to me!". That was just really sad to see how good a pilot he is and just pretty much serenading the enemy while they shoot down planes and abduct citizens from the M7 city. I mean come on, there has to be some limit when he needs to actually fight back. I enjoyed it when the daughter hopped into her mom's VF-1 and started shooting down the enemies in the early episodes when Basara was just singing to them.

I've just started watching the Macross 7 t.v. series, and while it seems to be a really slow start (I'm on the second disc) anyting Macross related is still cool. I really enjoyed seeing Milia fly her old red VF-1. My question though is how good is the 30 min. movie and the 4 OVA of Mac 7? I pretty much just want to get them if there's more focus on the planes and more action and less music concerts.
