  1. I still don't know if I like prowl, but I bought both BT versions for some reason.

    "gotta catch 'em all!"

    :p

I wasn't too wild about Sideswipe but bought him anyway. I did the boot mod and like him a lot now. I'm trying to stop myself from buying Shockwave as already have a Meister but my will is eroding..

In car mode Shockwave is much cooler than Meister.

Shockwave is rockin the Mazdaspeed kit...Meister is bone stock.

    ;)

  2. FYI, folks, Cybertron toys have been spotted at the Simi Valley Walmart.

    Scourge (at least 4)

    Uber-Starscream (lots  X_x)

Vector Prime (top shelf by the model car kits)

    Scattershot/Backpack

    Mini-Con team (I think)

I forget the rest.  Sorry about that.  Anyway, happy hunting.

    Also, no Alts there.

There is a Prime at the Target on Corbin...

  3. I found Swerve at a small, ghetto Target in Austin, and must say, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Perhaps it's the color, but he just looks better then Tracks in bot mode. Maybe his head? It looks like it belongs on some sort of heavy weapons platform. I like the red plastic better than Windcharger, as well. It doesn't seem as thin and ready to break.

Whats the best store that you've been to for transformers in Austin? I'm looking for a Grimlock or Wheeljack.

Good luck on Wheeljack...I still see Grimlock around at the TRU's.

  4. I've sanded some of the peg holes on my Grim-jacks. It makes transformation a little easier. The main ones to get are the holes in the beam between the shoulders (these are what makes pulling the arms out, so damn hard) and the holes that the windshield pegs into.

Beyond that, it's just a matter of swinging the arms and doors around to keep them clear, while you're transforming it.

Thats why I'd rather go with the plastic Alternators...no paint chips and the colors match from panel to panel.

  5. man, I must've ran into 20 swerves yesterday at target. no decepticharge though.

Which Targets did you go to? I went to the Simi and Moorpark ones and they had nothing. The Porter Toys R Us had some Grimlocks, Swindles and one Shockwave(the one I took back).

    the target in burbank.

    Thanks!

  7. How common is Wheeljack around North America? I've recently found Shockblast, but not sign of the second Mustang.

No sign of Wheeljack in 'SoCal. I found a Shockblast once, but passed on him...Of course, I'm not a cherry-picker/scalper, so maybe those two have been all over the place and have been snatched up by everybody else...

I found a Wheeljack at a TRU in Porter Ranch. Got another Shockblast too. Went there to kill some time.

  8. The reason why the prices are so high is because people are willing to pay these prices. These are sold as "collector" items, this way the high prices are justifiable. Honestly...there is no reason why they can't sell these for under 100 bucks. The raw material must cost only a few cents. I know there are other costs involved, but come on...

I paid 130 for my Hikaru 1S and 115 for my Max...I thought that was rediculous. <_<

If people stopped buying...I bet the prices would come down real fast.

  9. Originally I was going to get some PSP goodies at Walmart for kicks cause I had nothing else to do. Instead I came across a Swindle and a Windcharger and dammit.....I caved!

Windcharger while having an attractive robot form at first, seems to have some flooping feet and tends to loose his balance, not too mention his HUGe football pad like shoulders kind of ruins it all....but he looks cool.

Nothing on Swindle yet JUST opened the box, but I paid 39.97 for them both.

Strange coincidence? I went to Toys R US and Walmart yesterday and the only two that were left was Swindle and Windcharger.
