  1. Looking to move these two. I've been out of the game for such a long time...I have no idea what to price these at. I check Ebay and prices are all over.

The 1S is 100% complete, decal sheet untouched. I transformed him to robot then back once.

The 1A is missing the intake covers...I have no idea where those went to. Decal sheet untouched. The box also got crunched in shipping. The 1A may have some slight yellowing...I can't really tell. The figure itself is in excellent shape. I don't even think I transformed him.

I'm just going by the low price on Ebay.

They are both first run Valks. Not sure if that makes a difference.

    The Hikaru 1S: 240.00

    and Max 1A: 120.00

If my pricing is off base...make me an offer. :)

These prices do not include shipping or Paypal fees.

    Thanks for looking.

  2. Essentially, yes, but the ones that were potentially going to be released 'stateside by Toynami boasted redesigned heads with collapsible necks, and would have featured valks like the '1D and others that were either never released or fan favorites.

Collapsible necks? Dam...that'd be pretty cool. It would be nice to see some re engineering of the old school valks.

  3. It might cost that much. Let's say the pump is worth 60 dollars, but that's BEFORE dealer/repair shop mark-up; that can almost be twice what the pump is worth. Then, typical shops, at least in California, charge anywhere from 90 to 100 bucks an hour for labor. So, if the pump ends up costing $150, and they take about 6 hours to change the pump, it really can cost $750.

If taking 6 hours and $750 seems excessive, my '97 Camaro Z28 would've cost $1400 for a water pump change back in 2003. Luckily, I was able to do the work myself, but seeing how involved the work was (and I was in tears, I kid you not), I can easily see why it takes hours and hundreds for a shop to perform these services. What do we learn from this?

    Michael Bay sucks...

Its not that complicated. Its on the passenger side block. I can be done in under two hours guaranteed. ^_^

    edit: can't spell

  4. Take the car in and have it scanned. If the coolant light is on, the ECU should have some error codes stored in it.

A 2.0 Beetle waterpump is around 60 dollars. It does not take 700 dollars worth of labor to replace.

If the car is leaking coolant, check the reservoir...the coolant could be low and would trigger the light.

  5. Thanks for the kind words!

The car was run on Neuspeed's Clayton dyno. It made 272 to the engine (Neuspeed calculates engine power). I recently installed a pair of Schrick 264/260 cams.

The car has been problematic (mostly small ectectrical stuff)...but I've working through them one by one. I knew what I was getting into when I got the car.

Since the car has been out of production for 12 years now...parts are being discontinued and are getting super expensive. I bought a pair of French spec headlights about 1.5 years ago for 500 shipped from Germany...now its 700.

The spoiler has yet to fail on me.
