Hi Guys!!!, do you know if the de vf1-d dx will be at preorder on NY or HLJ this december? I m a Yamato 1:48 plane mide fan but i cant pass this one!!!

No telling, but I'd steer clear of Nippon-Yasan.  Not sure what your experience with them may have been in the past, but they've been dropping the ball big time for the majority of this year.   More on that here:

Still waiting for my VF-1S from Nin-NinGame.  I guess I shouldn't have ordered Economy-Registered Shipping.  I messaged them worrying if there was still a shipping issues with JPost to the US. Their last reply from my status request was:

    Thank you for your message,

Our stock delivery is a bit late.
Your order will be ship as soon as possible

Sounds like a cookie-cutter response.  They told me the same two weeks ago.  But if it makes you feel any better, I just heard that my order from NNG shipped from Osaka yesterday.  They seem to be moving out stock in phases.

Just a heads-up to anyone ordering from NNG: if you chose private warehouse for your stuff, they won't ship out until early the month after release. This is what happened with my YF-29 from them.

The VF-1S Roy I just had them ship directly, and it shipped out fairly quickly (before Amazon Japan shipped). Both were direct MSRP pre-orders.

I ordered two from NNG on the night or pre-order.  I don't recall private warehouse being an option, but then again, this was in the heat of pre-order night, so I might have missed that.  I selected FedEx/DHL shipping from the outset.  Since I couldn't find Roy's VF-1S available anywhere else that night, I ordered two from NNG at around $225 each.  I've been assured by NNG that shipping should happen this week.  As of yet, my status on the order is still "pre-order confirmed" (i.e. no new movement since they were ordered).

That said, I've ordered one other time with NNG and didn't really have much of a problem.  It was a pre-order and I didn't get it shipped until after I opened a help ticket to inquire about it, but it got to me just fine.

Curious if anyone else got this similar message from NNG for their Roy's.   For the record I was in the first batch of orders at the $170ish price.  Ordered two.  This is their response for me last Monday.  Not sure if its wording or if im reading into it too much but "stock delivery" implying that they are waiting from Bandai stock?  Ive sent them a follow up message for more details.

Yep.  I ordered two at around $225 and I'm still waiting.  They estimate they will ship sometime this week.  So, either the late stock they're referring to is intended for something other than their initial batch of shipments to customers, or something else is at play.

Are those t-38’s or A4’s on the deck or something else, that’s a great photo.  I’m sure there are examples, I’ve just seen a lot though on the experimental or prototypes.  I was trying to comment more on where they put the bright orange and that a vf-1D would be a solid strike aircraft.  Thanks for clarifying that and sharing the photo’s.

As for the unpainted Yamato's, I never realized they released so many variants.

That mass production scheme VF-1S is a strange sight.  Nice group shot!

  6. Oh $*%!  Is that a mock-up demo, or did that thing ever get produced?  Or did they release an unpainted D?  If so, that's news to me.  I was more or less "out" of the hobby by the time Yamato started releasing 1/60 2.0 versions of VF-1s.

My TV Roy 1S got here a little while ago, no QC issues, the arms stay up better in fighter mode than my Hikaru 1S, and the wing flaps stay in place a bit more snugly as well. Very happy with it, and I'm glad that Nin-Nin came through for me and everyone else as well.

I was in the $225.29 group price wise, cost me $275.10 with shipping. If there's any future pre-order madness and the other places are sold out, I'll go with Nin-Nin again. :)

Eh...not quite everyone.  I ordered 2 at $225.29 and I'm still waiting to hear.  My safety from Anime Export, however, got here on Monday.

What are the chances that more movie SSP will be released?

I hope relatively high.  I may have missed out entirely thanks to N-Y.  Two cancelled orders and one being held hostage.

No mass production toy has ever been made of the mass production VF-1D paint scheme. There's no reason to think it was a goof or a liberty, it makes sense that there would be mass production 1Ds in the fleet, but since they don't do anything of import, there's not enough demand for toys... I don't even think models have been made of them.

Absolutely made sense to me that there would be plenty of brown ones...a little coincidental that they showed up in the episode that they did.  Not sure how well the brown 1J and VR 1D sold for Yamato, but...I'm old school and would purchase just about any VF-1 variant in the latest/greatest line of toys.

  10. So, I've always been under the impression that there are two (possibly three) canon examples of the VF-1D.

The one Hikaru finds himself in during Ep1 "Booby Trap" and Ep2 "Countdown"

    vf1d_on_the_ground.png?w=500&h=385

The one from Ep25 "Virgin Road" that sports the same paint scheme as Max's J model

    vr_vf1as.png?w=500&h=378

And what I always assumed were VF-1Ds from that same episode

    ep25_wedding3.png

Which brings me to my question...are those VF-1Ds in that third still?  And if so, are they sporting the standard "mass production" brownie scheme we've seen on A and J models?  Or is this an animation "error" of some kind?  Or, is this some abandoned version we were never meant to see, as discussed in the thread linked below?

What I really want to know is, has anyone ever produced a toy representing a mass production paint scheme VF-1D?

Actually that's wrong: this piece of glorious garbage was my first Valk, several years earlier. It was terrible in every way possible but it was what I could get my hands on and it was three dollars which was a lot for my young self. My imagination made it much better than it actually was and I loved it until I got the Takatoku which was my first real Valk.

Well, THAT valk turns into a giant moth, so...lucky you. ;)

No email from Nin Nin yet. At this point I don't mind paying a little extra so that they just ship it asap. Is anyone else waiting on NNG to contact them on any updates?

I purchased two Roys for $225 unit price (USD) on 07/03.  Still waiting for some news.  Order still shows as "pre-order confirmed."  I had opted DHL/FedEx from the get-go.  Not sweating it just yet...not much at any rate.  All the BS with NY has me gun-shy though.

Nin Nin got back to me and told me their shipments are running late due to COVID so I’ll get a shipping invoice early next week (I used private warehouse because COVID was making knowing what shipping would be like at the time of order rough). Given my PayPal protection lasts through December 30th I guess I have no reason to disbelieve them. For reference my order went in when it was $260.

That's what they told me on Saturday.  However, I've seen several folks here who ordered from Nin-Nin Game that have either received shipping confirmation or have otherwise seen some movement on their orders, which leads me to believe they had some stock on hand.  So, I'm hopeful they'll get a fair number of the ones ordered on 07/03 out the door this week, but time will tell.  Personally, NNG has given me no reason to think they won't come through.  The one previous order I had with them shipped without issue.  That said, I'll feel better when mine ships.

  14. My safety Roy VF-1S order from Anime Export was originally slated to arrive Wednesday and now promises to be in my hot little hands sometime today.  My July pre-order to Nin-Nin Game, I'm still waiting to hear something.  Their support folks said this week sometime, but I know others have already seen some movement.

I think okiniland is just going up and down. I have ordered a second...you guys are bad influences.

That's been my experience.  The Roy VF-1S at Okini Land has been there and gone a few times over the past 12-24 hours.  Every time I've seen it, it's been offered at around $266 USD.

Anyone hear from Anime Export on shipping prices/ completing order yet?

A Roy I ordered from AE shipped and is slated to get to me this Wednesday (currently sitting in Cincinnati, OH apparently).  Still waiting to hear from Nin-Nin Game...some folks already have.  I expect to get news next week.

  17. Interesting.  My NNG Roy came in at $225 unit price.  No word on shipping as far as the order status.  I did open a ticket and I did get a response.  They told me their stock delivery was a bit late due to COVID, but that they expect to ship next week as soon as they can get to it.

Just paid AE for shipping for Roy's DX.  Didn't get an email but was available for payment when I went to the website to check the status of my order.

You should see one soon.  I got my shipping prompt earlier today and then the payment prompt (for shipping) later.  About 5 minutes after I paid for shipping, I got the email confirmation that it was gonna be on its way.  That's been within the past 30 minutes or so.  My order currently shows "shipped" complete with DHL Express tracking number.

Lucky you!  I have a preorder with Nin-Nin but no news yet (I picked EMS shipping at the time). If you don’t mind me asking, what was your PO price and what shipping method did you pick? Thanks.

I also have an order for the Roy VF-1S coming (allegedly) from Nin-Nin.  Have not heard anything about shipment yet.  Their site was down for a bit tonight, but I went back to confirm that I got it for around $225 USD (before shipping and fees).  I didn't pull the trigger fast enough when it was first available, but I scored one when they were doing their little reappear/price increase dance.  I very nearly ordered one at ¥19,800 through Nin-Nin, but I screwed something up when trying to pay with credit card and then it was gone (only to reappear about 20 minutes later with the price hike).
