Dai Guard

Hey All,

I just finished watching Dai Guard and it was great. I would call it underrated since it the type of series that you look at the box and say...cheezy mecha. Yea Dai Guard looks cheezy compared to macross but the series is a delight to watch. I like the concept of "Office workers saving the world." Everything is animated very well and the dub is very good although there are the usual differences b/w the dub and sub. To summerize it the story of a mech built cheaply to defend japan from the heterodyne who come to destroy Japan, and its pilots that nobody wants piloting it. I would call the story similiar to Evangelion but without the angst ridden teens, and religous undertones.

Give it a try...it can be found at most blockbuster video stores for rental.
