Transformable Model Painting

Hi,

Just getting back into modelling, and I was wondering what steps you could do to paint a transformable model to minimize chipping.

I was thinking a good primer coat before the actual base color, but I was wondering what else you could do.

I think this could be helpful with both variable toy custom and variable model kits.

if you don't apply top coat, the paint will chip down to to primer.
