vf-11 fast-pack, hipjoint prob's over?

So, are we past the point where the vf-11's hip joint is the best example of cool- toy irony ever? I am ready to replace my broken vf-11 with a fast-pack upgrade just not sure if it is any better.

Yes, it has a metal bar in each hip. Problem corrected. Buy new VF-11B FP ED. with piece of mind. I have 2.
