One of the most beloved storybook icons of the 20th century hits the big screen for the first time. Paddington is the tale of a talking bear who migrates from Peru to London, where he is taken in by a family. Directed by Paul King (The Mighty Boosh), the film features the voices of Ben Whishaw (Q in Skyfall and SPECTRE) as Paddington, Michael Gambon (Dumbledore in Harry Potter 3-6) as Uncle Pastuzo, and Imelda Staunton (Dolores in Harry Potter) as Aunt Lucy. Also starring are Nicole Kidman (Judy in BMX Bandits, Claudia in Nine), Hugh Bonneville (Robert Crawley in Downtown Abbey), Sally Hawkins (Dr. Graham in Godzilla), Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Julie Walters (Mrs. Weasley in Harry Potter), Jim Broadbent (Don Speekingleesh in Black Adder, Frank Butterman in Hot Fuzz), Peter "The Twelfth Doctor" Capaldi (Doctor Who), and Paddington Bear creator Michael Bond. Paddington premiered in the UK on November 28, 2014, and is set to hit U.S. theaters on January 16. It is already a box-office hit (US$109.7 million and counting) and a critical success (98% on Rotten Tomatoes).
