  1. What I don't understand is how these are almost guaranteed to break yet the price still remains very high.

I think people are still buying these because if there just aren't too many options if you want a VF-0. Yamato hasn't really shown too much interest in revisiting the Macross Zero line so I thought it would be pointless to wait and caved in and picked up a VF-0A Shin Kudo w/ Ghost Booster in all it's floppy glory. Despite all that, I still really love my VF-0A... but it'll probably forever remain fighter mode.

  2. Just got my VF-1J M&M, and placed an order for DYRL kakizaki, TV Max VF-1A, and VF-1D. Just to be extra cautious is there anything I need to be careful about when transforming the forementioned valks? Does anyone experience any broken-parts with these molds?

One more question: the new 1/60 Roy VF-1S with flash light, will it be the new/improved mold or the one with shoulder problem?

    any tips will be appreciated.

On the VF-1J M&M, when you pull the chest plate down, it's very easy to scratch the two white tabs that stick up from the back. Mine came with a little piece of paper in Japanese that pretty much cautions you about that. Basically on the VF-1J M&Ms, the white paint is very soft and easy to scratch.

The new 1/60 Roy VF-1S is supposed to have the fixed post VF-1D v2.0 shoulders.

  3. I just checked and the vf-1s is still available, and in fact I believe these are over stock from the initial production run which is why OD is still carry them with $73.99 price tag, you can buy the strike armor for about $30.

Unless these are selling out, I don't think there will be any re-production.

Yeah, I think you're right about the VF-1S w/o the Strike packs being from the initial production. I think they've never gone out of stock since I've been checking. The VF-1S w/ Strike packs were sold out for quite a while on Overdrive and HLJ though and now they're back in stock so I wonder if those are updated. I'd be willing to pay more for the bundled VF-1S Strike if they don't have the potential shoulder problems.

  4. are they out of production? I have 4 strikes VF-1S, 2 roys and 2 hikaru. All are fine, my standalone roy vf-1s suffers one shoulder problem and the tint in the canopy chipped off.

I assumed they were currently not being produced because it didn't seem like the retailers were restocking them, but I just checked right now and now HLJ & Overdrive seem to have some in stock. So maybe they're still producing them right now after all... has anyone gotten any VF-1S Strike Valkyries w/ the updated shoulder pins yet?

  5. I'm assuming the VF-1S Strike is not currently in production since it's unavailable at most of the retailers now. Does anyone have any idea when Yamato will start producing the VF-1S Strike again but with the updated shoulders found on the VF-1D and later models? I searched the release schedule thread, and other posts but couldn't find much info.

  6. Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this forum so be gentle... I live in Southern California and was wondering if there is a store I can go to to purchase these toys? Any help would be appreciated and preferrably a place that doesn't jack up the price. Thanks.

You can try Frank & Son or Anime Jungle. Frank & Son will most likely have some MF stuff... not too sure about Anime Jungle since I haven't been there in a while. Prices are always going to be more in store than online, but with shipping costs, sometimes buying in store is comparable.
