  1. Looks like a good time to pick up the 1/60 Vermillion squad not to mention the 1/60 VF-0A and Ghost available. Sure would look nice against my Nora and Roy Fokker with Ghost. If there was an Ivanov on sale I would sooo be on that like a fat kid with a cupcake.

  2. If you guys are interested in knowing about the space jockey, a partial origin was given in the Old Dark Horse comics Aliens. IIRR it was Alien Earth Wars. I'd have to dig into my comic book collection to find it as its been quite a few years since I read them but basically the planet on Aliens was indeed the alien homeworld(although Dark Horse comics would change that in the future). The aliens suffered from a unknown planet devastation but they are intelligent. Recall how they cut the power off in Aliens. I got the impression the state the aliens were found in was somewhat comparable to what man would be living like in the event of a major catastrophe. Another space jockey is introduced and does appear to help the humans. At the end of the series, Newt(this takes place before Alien 3) got a vision from the space jockey and learned a little about them. They harbor the same emotions as man including the desire to conquer. I never saw Dark Horse do anything else with the space jockey but Dark Horse generally did a pretty good job with the Alien comics. And then Alien 3 came out.

One question I have is how much of the comics would a prequel try to institute into the film? AVP was based off the AVP comics (the comics were quite a bit more satisfying btw)

  3. Can you believe some dumbass had some of my armored Klang pictures deleted say they violated terms of service, most likely he same dumbass that got my old account banned because he is a effeminate prick. Got them reuploaded with a disclaimer that it does not Violate any terms of service so he should get a life or get locked out. Does these pics look like the violate any thing?

Great pics! Klan looks amazing. I'm trying to resist buying.

  4. OT/unimportant, but I actually sat in a Camaro for more than 30 secs for the first time today. (Jewel red 2011 SS if anybody cares).

Hated the interior. Couldn't believe it's a zeta platform, since I like the G8's interior *so* much more. Car is NOT designed for people 6ft+. The roof line to the side is at eye-level, I could only view downwards. Didn't like center console/gauge area at all. Main gauges very visible, lots of thigh/leg room under the steering wheel (which is often an issue, as tall people usually tilt the "butt" part of the seat down, which raises the thigh part). Didn't like the steering wheel itself, it's very "flat" in cross-section which felt kind of awkwards to grip---every other steering wheel ever is much more round. It's ok if you drive at like 11 and 1 or 7 and 5, but the whole center section is weird.

Definitely not ever going to buy one. Maybe a Challenger... (still hoping for the Commodore SS-V to come over again, maybe as a 2013 Impala or something)

There was a real sharp black Challenger at the Dodge Dealership a few minutes from my home. Its a large car and comes with a rather steep pricetag but it is good looking, sounds good and just cries out for a set of deepdish rims.

  5. Has anyone purchased a clearance Macross item from Over-Drive recently? Their clearance products description includes the following:

"As this item is part of our in stock item clearance sale we will be giving away extras items such as the Macross Frontier Ichibankuji Mecha Set as well as many more items free with each purchase. Don't miss this chance to get the item you wanted at discounted prices! Note offer is valid while supplies last."

Did anyone get these extras and what where they?

I got three of them when I order the 1/60 yf-22 that was on clearance. They sent me 3 VF-22s none of the quedlaunn-raus.

  6. Pardon my ignorance regarding the Mustang (particularly this 5th gen) but what's so special about the Boss 302? I mean in comparison to the GT and GT500 models (considering it falls somewhere in between in terms of horsepower)... or is that the idea?

The Boss is mostly for those wanting a more sharper Mustang to take to road courses so it will be a be more focus on that aspect. Not sure about the other two more limited versions of the 302 called the Boss laguna Seca and the 302r (race only version).

I'm looking forward to the next Mustang coming out in 2014. I miss my old 2003 Cobra not to get another Mustang.

  7. I just picked up my missile regult from my local comic book shop I ordered through Diamond. I'm really enjoying them and sure wish for more Zentraedi mecha and lets not forget our dear Invids now. On the episode "Farewell to Big Brother" what was those green non-transformable Zentraedi aircraft? I'd like to have a couple of those to with my Roy Fokkers. If toynami would do a larger scale like a 1/60 or even just a 1/72, please include a nice poseable figure and not like the figure Yamoto stuck with the Queadlunn-Rau.

  8. From my past experience in the Navy, I can easily see a place for both laser and rounds. One aspect I can see lasers doing is in a missile defence system. When an anti ship missile is speeding its way towards a ship, guns can shoot it down BUT the speed and relatively short range of the gun, allows that explosion to come a bit too close for comfort. Now a laser could strike further away and nullify that effect. With that in mind guns will have a place far into at least this century as they can still do what missiles and lasers can not do such as fire warning shots, shore bombarded and rapid close range strike. I also feel that the Navy brass may be a bit cautious about replacing guns outright looking at the Air Force's experience with gunless F-4s in Vietnam.

  9. I know the feeling. My YF-21 came in from the clearance sale on Overdrive, and it is an impressive piece compelling me to buy a VF-22S. HJL has that 70% off shipping sale makes the Max and Milia a tough choice for me.

  10. I just ordered a 1/60 YF-21 from Overdrive(finally!) and would love a VF-22 as Hobby Link is having a reduced shipping sale. I just have no idea which one to get. I already have Milia's Queadlunn-Rau with figure and her VF-1 but no Max at all yet. I might just get the Milia VF-22 and finish out all the aircraft she has flown the work on Max.

  11. I doubt you will find a better price than HLJ unless someone has it on sale for some reason. It is my go to place for my Yamato toys. They are the most reasonable I have found in price and in shipping. Also, they are good because you know the stock status at all times. I believe they keep the most stock compared to most any other website. I have heard that some hobby sites actually use HLJ as their distributor. HLJ is very reliable and has excellent customer service. Just my two cents.

Edit: Yeah! I'm no longer cannon fodder.

I go tmy VF-0s with ghost booster from them. It didn't take long to ship either which was a plus. The only drawback is the shipping which is a bit high but no way to get around high shipping when ordering something across the planet.

  12. You don't want to know what happened between me and those guys. But yes, everyone has the f-ups from time to time, some more than others, and some don't care.

The fact we are talking about VF-0's is the reason i added in about the blacklisted.

I'll try over-drive.com then. Now if I just knew if the Ivanov they have is a good one or not.

  13. Well the -0A with Ghost is listed as "discontinued" on HLJ, so you won't be getting it from there. It also costs the same as the Roy VF-0S with Ghost.

Roy's model looks nicer anyway IMO...and it has all the fixes...so I'll be getting that.

I c. Tisinc99.com has the VF-0A with booster for $170. I'm not too sure about that one. Its too bad about the Macross Zero figures having so many headaches as they are surely very striking. I would like to get the rest of Macross Zero line but I am not familair with what they are releasing and when.

  14. I've dealt with ToysNJoys and yes they deserve to be on the Blacklist.

If its overpriced, its in stock. If you see a few figures that are cheaper than most places, you'll get a pm about 10 days later saying how sorry they are as it is out of stock. And when you get a email telling you its out of stock, watch their website and you will see a price increase on your figure. I know they did it to me.

  15. ZOMG! A beta fighter! Oh..wait...we've been seeing that on display for like 3 years. But now in 5 COLORS OF VAPORWARE! woohoo!

    The 1/55 1D looks cool

    The 1/100 Battlepod looks cool

    The 1/100 GBP looks cool

years from now when they finally get released I will probably buy them

The Shadow Cron. stuff should have been released forever ago. Like maybe around the time of the crappy movie? All they are are repaints. I think now even the diehard fanboys have moved past the "pink alpha" interest.

Speaking of Beta Fighters, I wonder if the Toynami MPC will be able to handle the extra weight. They look nice but do not like being manipulated much especially the missile bays on arms and legs. They tend to break. As for repaints, I can not see the difference, unless my computer and eyesight are failing me, between a Sue Graham Alpha and Marcus Shadow fighter.

  16. Thanks SQIDD!!! Now my problem is where to find the VF-0S w/ the ghost booster

I found it at Hobby Link Japan for $185. I have not seen it cheaper but I am still checking a few sites out.
