First Gundam kit I've bought in ages.. looking forward to painting this guy.
-
I'm keen to get the Big Chap Alien figure but today was looking at the NECA 18" Alien as a much cheaper alternative (At 35 bucks instead of 150).. anyone got it? From the pics looks like it'd be pretty good with a bit of an airbrush.

I thought this was gonna be a total fail but I take (some) of it back after seeing the trailer. At least he's taking the effort to capture the feeling of the original film. Although the mention of 'super predators' makes me nervous. And not in a "holy crap they're coming out of the walls!" kind of way.

Bugger, been away on work most of the last 6 months! Recently bought a 1J and was distraught to find it's arm dropped off out of the box. I'll keep checking your sig Graham, in case you do another round.
I went and loosened my 1S's shoulder screws in a fit of paranoia.

I'll be in LA for work for 3 days filming a travel show.. would love to get over to Frank & Sons but doubt I'll have time.. so close yet so far!!
-
Good lord, yes! I have been waiting for Bandai to make one for the last 5 years. Being controvercial for a second a toynami one would be great as it'd be much bigger and cheaper than a SOC.
I don't care if all the vehicles are clunky and retro - that's the charm!
-
That looks like the same sculpt as the EX model kit.. which isn't a bad thing, I built and painted it a few years back and it's pretty neat.
Bandai FINALLY unveils their next Soul of Popynica (thx to cybergundam for pics). While it isn't the Andromeda. I'm still pretty excited that they're making the Swordfish.

finally got a 1/60 v.2.. along with a shin getter CMS dorvack and the GNU DO mac plus figures, all 60-70% off.. bargain!
-
those pics are GREAT! it's a Corridor of Awesome. Sorry I missed it! Some great customs and paint jobs in there.

you're just down the road from my place!! VERY tempted to hit the buy it now button!!

The hell was wrong with TFU?
Maybe I was overly harsh.. should have said Galaxies instead. From all the hype I was really looking fowward to it, but ten minutes later I was bored sh-tless.. mindless repetitive button mashing.

my god that trailer was awesome. watching it I thought once again, just stop making movies and tv and just do games. They're the only saving grace of the whole SW franchise. Well not all of them of course (aka Force Unleashed)

Dig out your Air Brush you lazy Aussie??? when was the last time you use it I wonder???
haha, funny, I was just thinking the same thing the other day. Answer: probably shortly before I became a parent, ie more than a year and a half ago..

yech.. pink! I can't believe they didn't say "screw the anime authenticity, let's make it gray!"
-
speaking of that, you US folks who live in or know DC well, did it trip you out playing this game? Even I had a bit of deja vu with some areas like the whole Washington monument and lincoln memorial area, just thru sheer exposure to news like presidential inaugurations and the like.
-
I liked Broken Steel, but the Pitt was my favourite. Taking away all your weapons and armor for half the game was a stroke of genius. With just a crappy gun and armor even at level 27 I had to run away a lot (it was on Very Hard setting)
-
WOW. If I could afford to get it, money, shelf space, and relationship-wise I'd get it for sure!
Price, I estimate at $300-500.. shipping $3000-5000!
And that is one creepy lookin' chick in the suit.
No wait, just had a look on Google, price looks to be $1000!!

Have any of you guys heard of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel? It's a Diablo-type game that has local and online co-op (At least in the 360 version). It actually has decent reviews on metacritic. I've been dying for a good online co-op rpg, so I'm going to have to pick this up.
I played thru the first Sacred a bit.. might check this one out to get a Diablo fix.
Well I finally finished Fallout 3 and all the expansions.. very sad. Empty inside. Started Stalker Clear Sky. I think it's gonna be a bit of a punish to get thru.
In other news (sorry if this is REALLY OLD cos I've been awol for a while) did you all see the announcement for the next AvsP game? Good news after the release date push back for Aliens CM.

haha Dynamo Joe! It still have that entire series buried under my house.
For me it would have to be a mini series from 2000AD - Button Man. Spawned 2 sequel. I highly recommend finding it and reading it. It was collected into a trade paperback but it's pretty hard to come by.(torr cough cough ents)

For the older + crustier among us it was the Vehicle Voltron that preceded the lion voltron tv series (I never really dug robot animals much). I remember when I was a kid I built one out of lego. ahh, good times.

Guppy,
Nice to see you back. Haven't seen you in these parts for ages (years?).
Really, wait for the Armoured Ozma, it will have the improved (longer) neck and improved (straighter) head lasers. The first release of the standalone Ozma VF-25S has a neck that is far too short (doesn't look good in battroid mode and warped too thin head lasers.
If you really can't wait, get the VF-25F Alto, VF-25G Michael or RVF-25 Luca, they are good to go.
Graham
Good to be back.. work, kid, etc got in the way for a bit there.
haha, yeah, work is slow this week and all I've done is toy shop bought the Masterpiece Beta yesterday so the flood gates have opened again.
The Michael and Luca I really like but Alto's design looks a little too much like a design from Virtual-On or Aquarion (runs from angry mob)

I'm still patiently waiting for a SOC Dairugger. It has to happen someday!!
-
wow, I've been busy with real life stuff for a while so I've just caught up with all the DX goodness. I really should wait for the armoreed version but I have to get myself a VF-25S now!!! Pity I missed out on the ones on sale at Overdrive, that was cheap!
Man, between the aussie dollar dropping against the greenback and the rising price of must have toys I will really have to start sneaking my purchases into the toy cabinet.

I just bought the Hot Toys Cleaner Predator.. aussies - it's on sale at www.casefresh.com.au - I got mine there. the Iron Man 1/6 looks pretty amazing too.
Yamato 1/100 VB-6 Koenig Monster
in For Sale & Trade
Posted · Edited by Guppy
Heya,
In the zillion years I've been on MW I think this is my first for sale ever!
I bought the Yamato Monster when it came out, and put it back in the box soon after. Took up too much space and the arms were floppy, for a toy. I've applied the eye stickers otherwise it's the same as new, with a bit of dust.
Box is in OK shape, no tears but is worn around the edges and back as it's been in storage 5 or 6 years.
hlj sold them for $189 when available, so I'm doing mine for $150 USD plus shipping. Located in Australia, so I would guess international would be around $25=30.

For Aussies, you can pick up from Ryde, Sydney or postage would be around $15.
I'd also trade it for a Toynami Robotech Cyclone, either release.
Cheers!
