That's funny. I don't remember Spawn being made into an anime. I only know of the Spawn cartoon series by HBO.
Actually it is the HBO "cartoon" series. Guess it really isnt classified as "anime" since it's not of japanese origin.
edit: yes OE, they are the uncut versions.
-
There's a Spawn 3 on DVD? I gotta get that one, but I didnt see it at Best Buy. Then again I picked up the Spawn set as a impulse buy (that & it was dirt cheap). I was actually shopping for a new HDTV.
-
For all the Spawn fans - I just picked up the Spawn & Spawn2 DVDs from Best Buy for $5.99 each. Pretty cheap if you ask me. They're not new versions, they're the HBO anime from a few years back. I really enjoyed watching the whole Spawn story all over again.

I say "Both are good when used right". The Yamato 1/48 valk has a higher plastic content than ,say, a Bandai SOC Great Mazinger. Both are high quality toys using the two materials in different ways.

I feel your pain, bro... My wallet is kinda hurting after this month: 4 - 1/48 Fast Pack & Elint & Ostrich all in the same month.
I hope Yamato spaces out there future releases, especially with the forthcoming Monster and Q-Rau
-
Agreed... The elint looks spectacular. Another wallpaper/screensaver. thanks for sharing firefox!!!

maybe i should make a new poll...asking if i am making TOO MANY or TOO LESS polls?
hehehehe
-Jin
Geez... enough with the polls.
You must be Shin Densetsu's evil twin brotha Gittin' all "poll" crazy!!!
Besides, I really dont care for the VF-4

My votes for Mac+, I really dig the mecha designs.
-
GBP armor for me . Although, I'd like to see some TV version valks.
-
Wow, looks great Coyote187. Just one thing, do you have any smaller pics? The large ones are kinda blurry.
-
As for Macross - I've paid the normal prices. The only time I've overpaid for a toy is for my Marvel Legends Goliath - $65 I just had to have it.
-
...in my toy collection?
Macross - Right now the 1/48 Lo Vis
Non Macross - TIE: Marui 1/24 R/C M1A2 Abrams & Marvel Legends Goliath, very scwheet!!!
sports toy - Giant NRS Team custom, Uber Scwheet!!!
-
Yeah, they're the HEAT!!! I have 3 of 'em at work sitting on my desk to fiddle around with during the day. Pretty cheap ($) and high marks for playability at work. Plus I dont worry if some muldoon picks em up and sez "cool transformer thingie, dude"

I consider the 1/48 as an evolution of the Yammie valk toy and an improvement (scale & quality) over the 1/60. I still love my 1/60s and they share space on my display shelves in harmony with the 1/48s
-
No, you havent missed a hundred or so episodes. The show started about a month or two ago on MTV. I really dig the show too, it's way betta than the old skool Spiderman and Friends that aired on thesaturday morning cartoons. I hope they keep it up and betta yet, put the first season on DVD.

Like you I'm eagerly awaiting the upcoming -19 FP. But I kinda doubt that they'll make any big changes except for the additions of the FPs. Just look at the previous 1/72 Mac+ valks: -11B improved the hip joint, -21 improved the fuselage belly to make it streamlined. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
-
I bought some Sakura markers to panel line my MPCs, but I havent summoned the courage to use them on my 1/48s. I kinda dont want to panel line them in black/too dark. I just may try hirohawas suggestion with the Tamiya clear smoke.

I should have more confirmed by the end of the week.

Cool... Kevin to the rescue
I used to buy from HLJ, but the shipping options sucked (at least in my experience). SAL was cheap, but it took a month for orders to get to me. EMS wasn't any better - over $30 US to ship a 1/48 and it took longer than UPS (about 2 weeks).
I just feel the need to armor up all my 1/48 valks
-
I've been checking out my usual valk pimps - VEX, BBTS, Twin Moons... And they're all sold out. One would assume Yamato would produce enough to outfit all the 1/48s the produced and a bit more for future releases.
I've already picked up 2 sets from Kevin/VEX but after drooling over the pics in this forum I wanna pick up a few more for the rest of my 1/48s, including the verified future releases.

I've ordered decals from both takatoys (1/48) and anasazi37 (1/60) and they're definitely much better than the yamato originals. I HIGHLY recommend both of their products, you won't be disappointed.
I just missed out on placing an order for decals for my Lo-Vis from anasazi37, but I guess I can wait till he's finished with the 1/48 FAST Pack upgrade set, 1/60 VT-1 set, and 1/60 VE-1 set - they're worth the wait.

You bastard I'm Jealous, I don't have mine yet.
j/k LOL
Thanks for sharing your pics R_E. (wipes off drool)

The display stands from sithlord are definitely one to get They're great for dynamic valk displays.
But not to get OT, I'm still eagerly awaiting the delivery of the FPs I ordered from Kevin/VEX. Drooling at the pics in this thread is just increasing the anxiety level
-
Schweet, thanks for the pics and review Tam!
-
thanks for sharing Kurt. I'll have to take a stab at making display bases for my valks on display.
A not so scientific poll
