    Twilight Planet? Hmm... Hopefully we'll be able to see the Vajra planet at the 13th episode. In the original series, 13 was the one where the SDF got back to planet earth (the next episode was the Global's Report re-cap episode) while in M7, this was the one where the Protodeviln tried to get the City7 to fold to their planet. In comparison to those two, this series' plot is going along nicely. Thanks for the info krepshy! :D

    Media Player Classic keeps giving me error messages when I try to grab these screens. You can see what may be the NUNS insignia just as it starts to fly infront of Michel (after the reflection in his helmet), and again just as the VF-27 transforms and flies away as the Quarter moves in for the kill. Its on the top of the wing.

    I could be wrong, and Kresphy could be wrong, but it looks like the NUNS insignia to me. It also has a new one toward the nose, wish I could grab a screenie of it.

    I think this is what you're talking about. First one looks just like canards or the tail to me. Second one seems like a logo but the motion is way too fast to make it out. I guess it'll have to stay a mystery for a little longer. :unsure:

    If SMS was hired to test the latest technology, why wouldn't they have one of them VF-27s or whatever that new fighter in episode 7 was? Hopefully we'll see more information on this civilian testing contract is done in succeeding episodes.

    Whatever technology the VF27s use, that is something way advanced from what Guld was using. It seems that the pilot is just floating there. Maybe its like they enter something kind of like the Matrix where they attach a cable to your spine or something and you no longer have to be conscious in the real world. Probably be able to control the fighter with thoughts as if you were the mecha itself. The whole technology could be related to those implants that MGalaxy citizens seem to have. That would explain why they devoted episode 7's intro narration to the discussion of the implants.

    Kronnang Dunn: that's a really cool avatar! Is that supposed to be Max? Where can I get one of those of the other pilots? Looks really awesome! :D

    haha. well, if ranka becomes famous somewhere along the line, a high-profile media confrontation is not that far-off. this early, i am already predicting some kind of homage to the hikaru-misa-minmei reunion scene in DYRL. Skupu!!

    :lol: Personally, I'd like to see another paparazzi-tabloid episode where the word finally gets out that Alto and Sheryl are having some kind of relationship. Now, whether Sheryl will acknowledge or deny it would probably be the main plot point of the story. Probably when the episodes reach into the teens. :D

    I've been browsing through Wikipedia and Google recently and here's a quickie: Is the new show called Macross Frontier or just Macross F? The english entry calls it Frontier while in japanese its マクロスF. AniDB also calls it just Macross F. Probably just a minor thing but I would like to know nonetheless. :)

    Something i noticed, does Luca send some sort of signal to the Ghost fighters ?

    Does he guide them with his radar ?

    Sure looks like it as he has some sort of device that sends a signal to the ghost next to him.

    He most likely does. After all, they are just probably dummies with the most basic AI after the whole Sharon Apple fiasco.

    Of course, all that fiddling around is probably why he go captured in this episode.

    grab Sheryl's earring before his VF-25 blew up?

    I don't think so. Definitely didn't see him grab it before going after Luca. Its a shame if he lost it, though because it seems to have some kind of positive effect at the same time that Sheryl was getting into her song at the concert. Some kind of mystical crystal perhaps? Hopefully we'll see more on this in the upcoming episodes.

    So far... THE. BEST. EPISODE. EVER.

    Battle scenes are awesome. Pretty much the whole episode is devoted to it.

    Sheryl topless! Finally! Well, kind of. She still has a towel and her long hair covering the interesting bits. Kind of Blue Lagoon-ish coverup. :lol:

    I didn't like the way they recycled some animation clips from the first episode and the deculture edition but I guess its okay given the context. I'm guessing that since the first concert was canceled, Sheryl's just re-doing the concert with the same act.

    VF-27 and that mysterious guy from the opening finally make an appearance.

    If you thought that Ranka's manager looked creepy, an even creepier Zentradi makes his appearance on the bridge of the Battle 25. We finally get a good look at the Battle 25 bridge, its captain, and some (I assume) higher-ranked officers.

    Macross quarter transforms at last! And its not like its made of lego bricks like the SDF or Battle 7 either. This one moves like a battroid.

    BTW, can someone explain why Ranka's stomach glowed just before she cheered for Sheryl? That was just absolutely weird for me.

    So is Alto a common Japanese name or is it a Spanish name that was given to him? Since Alto means high in Spanish, as in flying high.

    Given his family name Saotome, I'd say its Japanese. Probably a reference to Ranma Saotome of the Ranma 1/2 manga and anime where the titular character would change back and forth from being a male and a female depending on the temperature of the water splashed on him/her. :p

    Exedol most certainly has a body; the problem is he's a full sized Zentradi and he's simply too big to see anything more than his head on the Battle 7 bridge. His "tentacles" are mostly likely just OverTechnology, robotic assist arms that are used to manipulate objects. You'll see Exedol in full later in the series.

    Thanks for the clear-up. I was getting some really bad hentai-vibes with those weird tentacles there! :lol:

    Here's another one: What happened in the Macross games? Haven't bought a console since the old Sega Genesis/Megadrive days so I haven't been able to get any of the stories from there. Was there some kind of coup in the UN Spacy or something that changed the whole political landscape? :huh:

    In respect Pizza Hut poster, are those asteroids bottom left of the "death star" or a new type of vajras ? :huh:

    I believe those are the other islands in the Frontier fleet. They should've shown the fleet from its starboard or port sides instead of slightly head-on. It does kind of look like the death star at this angle :lol: I think the only thing they really got correct was the logo and the VF-25.
