Excellent work! Im moving along slowly on mine. Seeing yours finished is motivating. Did you have to rescribe the panel lines on the legs? On mine where i fixed the seams, I lost alot of the panel line detail. Im just afraid to attempt rescribing anything cuz I dont want to screw it up.

Thanks for the tip! I did notice that it looked like that , but I thought it looked good. Gave it a bit of texture. Im going to try and do some of the pin striping today.

Had some time to do a lil prepping tonight. Figured I try out my D-cam on the tri-pod. Test out the macro. I used a toothpick,new exacto blade, tamiya masking tape, with blue painters tape. Also wore latex gloves. The tamiya tape wasnt that sticky, so it was easy to manipulate. Included a shot of one of the legs with pre-shading. Used flat black for that. Then airbrushed in small coats with flat white till I recieved desired amount of shading.

Yeah my wife got me a whole box of latex gloves from work. I'll be using them all the time now. How long do you usually let the future dry? Also, when is a good time to start the panel washing? Thanks again for the support!

Ok so here it is. My first attempt at doing the pre-shade weathering. I thought it turned out pretty damned good! I did all the seam filling and wet sanding. Then did the pre-shade with Tamiya Flat Black. After it dried for a lil while I went over it in small coats with Tamiya Flat White. How long should I let it dry before I put a coat of Future on it??

Ok so I stopped working on my 1/100 scale valkryie, for now I just couldn't resist the temptation to begin working on this battroid. I started out by putting together some body parts as you can see in the picture. They can be broken down into smaller parts for later when I go to paint them. Im going to keep going forward with putting together what I can and then I will start fixing all the seams and do all the tedious sanding.

I would suggest calling them and tell them what you are looking for. They have thousands of models. Not alot of Macross though. I had to do some digging when I was there.

Okay so here it is. My first attempt ever at masking and then airbrushing. Turned out ok. There are some bad spots here and there, but nothing a lil touchup wont take care of. I'll have to remember from now to glue, fill, sand before I prime or paint next time I'll put some more pics up soon.

Okay . Been a lil busy but im ready to do some painting now. Did some masking today and hopefully going to shoot it with some grey tonight!

I just got my Vf-0S and Battroid in the mail the other day. I will be doing the 0S first. Im just stumped on what I should do first. Im thinking about gluing first and them filling/sanding. Then priming. But I dont know what I should do from there! Anyone else here that has built this model could give me some advice on what they did. I want to do this right and I want it to look good. I dont care how long it takes! Thanks for the help everyone. oh btw..i already washed all the parts in dish soap and let them dry and packed them back up.

My new kits came yesterday!!! I cant wait to start on one after I finish my first one!

Ill look into those! I am using Duplicolor sandable primer white. I hear Plastikote is good spray can primer.

Okay so I re-primered some areas after some sanding. Went with a white primer this time. I think I lost some detail of the panel lines but oh well. Just added some more parts on today and did a lil more sanding. Some big seams im going to have to fill here! Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. I need it! Oh yeah I almost forgot....I got my airbrush kit today! Thanks Don! Should be interesting to see how things turn out.

Yeah it is Millia's fighter. Im trying to get rid of the seams. What method and tools do you use for getting rid of the seams? Im just going for recommended paint scheme for now. Not confident enough to do anything custom.

This is my first model in about 15 years. I wanted to start out with something cheap so I picked up this 1/100 scale at the local hobby shop. They didnt have much for Macross kits but it was cheap and I figured I could use some practice before I got my VF-0S Valkryie and Battroid. Ill be posting more progress pics along the way till its finished!
