  1. Confused.

I can tell you one thing,

I'd never put a DYRL fastpack on my VF-1J. The color of the VF-1J's fastpack is extremely nice with the creamy white of the valk. Also, there are slight differences in the arm packs as they have a steeper slant in the missile launch section and the are a bit longer in the back.

My advise, buy the valk/fastpack combo.

I roger that! Thanks for yer most valuable advice. :p

  2. Got some questions here on the DYRL super n strike fast packs VS the TV series ones... is there really any difference other than the colors n the insignia on the fast packs itself? I don't know whether should i save up on the TV fast packs n make do with the DYRL ones. Pls advice...

    Confused.

  3. I don't think they will do the TV schemes...

They suck compared to DYRL schemes anyway.

man i totally disagree with that.

TV suits are so cool. So realistic. Yes they're not yellow and sparking like glitter rock star ahah but they are realistic.

Especially Roy's. Grey, basic, simple. And helmets are way more realistic as well.

have you seen the legs of the DYRL uniforms? Is it some kind of survival equipment contained into those fat legs?

No no... believe me... TV unifroms are the best

A drawback that I can see to these pilots is that they might deteriorate quicker than their solid plastic buddies. I hate thinking about coming home one day to see that my pilot has melted in the sun, or is slowly turning into rubber powder. Is there a great risk of this sort of thing happening?

hum then you can put your VF into resin, i mean, make a big resin block around it. of course you won't be able to transform it anymore, but at least it will stay good looking for centuries!!

Ditto. I cannot help but agree wholeheartedly with u. Will trade my DYRL 1/48 valks for the TV series one anytime anyday! :p

    YF-1R

yeah... share the same sentiment as u do... i've got the complete series of toynami mpc... very disappointing workmanship. wonder why they name it Masterpiece when the quality can't hold a candle to yamato. nice packaging lousy product.

Because Yamato doesn't make Robotech toys.

Toynami probably feels rather confident in saying they've created the best Robotech toy ever. Because it is. It's jsut not the best Valkyrie ever, not by a long shot.

    *applause!*

    YF-1R

Nope. Haven't gotten a MPC yet and don't have any plans to, not at the current price. Just don't feel its worth the money, especially after I've gotten a 1/60 VF-1S Strike by Yamato. Still need to get at least one 1/48.

yeah. u can't miss out on the 1/48 valks!

  4. Hi people... just curious to know whether is there any difference between the vf-17s in fighter mode and the one in battroid mode??? Both are manufactued by bandai but the pricing seems to be quite different.

  5. Can we stop this conversation? :p   Enough strain here, anymore of this and I need to rush out to get more low vis...

I want to be nuts too!

Bah. I want 7 more. And then make 2 VF-1J Low vis. Then make VF-1S one as well. I got a whole squadron. :D

    You mean like these?...

I wish i had a squadron of those... hehe :D

    Well said... harmony gold sux!

  7. Does Yamato make 1/48 with custom wing number?

The sticker sheet for the initial release of the 1/48 VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Roy does have stickers for 012 (Kakizaki).

In case you didn't know, in the Macross TV series, Kakizaki's VF-1A was much like the standard cannon fodder, but with more white/light gray.

The DYRL Kakizaki paint scheme is the same of the others, but it's green instead of red, blue, or yellow.

Oh, and the 1/48 fast packs also have the green skull emblem for the side of the engine/missle launcher.

I would believe that Toynami MPC has the most accurate representation of Ben Dixon/Kakizaki Hayao's Valk colour (verify with Macross tv)
