  1. I've heard about accuracy issues, although I don't know enough about variants and paint schemes. I just thought it might be nice for those who wanted something a little better than a Motorworks (or whatever that is that they sell at WalMart) for a few more bucks.

Uh, at least I think it's a little better :-)

PS-Here is a link to the actual toy picture, not a great pic:

  2. I know this isn't Macross, but I've seen people banter back and forth about diecast

F-14's so I thought I'd post this. Mods please feel free to delete if not appropriate.

The Franklin Mint (Armour) has a 1:48 F-14, Black Night's CAG bird on sale for 22.50 plus 6.95 shipping. Not too bad. I got hit with tax, some of you may not.

Hope some of you enjoy the deal!

  3. Sorry if this is OT, but since it was a model, I thought I would ask here. Mods, please move if needed!

I was wondering how much these are worth now. I looked it up on MW:

But wanted to know the current street price, which is kind of hard to figure out since there aren't many out there...

Oh, the VF17 and the VF19 both. I realize these kits are the ones without the metal parts too...

    Thanks for any input.

  4. Thanks guys, that's it exactly! My brother said it had a brown nose, and it was 1/48th scale.

I think he picked it up for me already because he just couldn't stand the tension of waiting!

(I live on the east coast, he lives in the bay area!)

Thanks again for the pics and info!

  5. All,

Sorry if this is a repeat question. I searched on Google and could not find the answer. From the pics I've seen it looks to be about 1/200. Is that correct?

    Thanks,

    Kyu

Thanks guys! I always thought the matchbox one was bigger than the models ( the 1/144 excluded of course).

    Now I know!

  6. Wes,

Thanks, took your advice and started from fastest with only 16 bit color. Worked smoother, but boy did it look crappy. I think it's also a trade off between video and sound. Using an IWILL KK266 with onboard sound, so I'm playing around with living with some stuttering sound and some slowdowns at time with the games. I guess I just found it hard to believe that an 800 MHz proc and geforce card couldn't keep up with a PS1 type of game. I guess it's all in the emulater coding.

Like I said, I still get some slow-downs, but at least it's livable for now. Thanks!

  7. Hey,

Take care, and very sorry to hear about what's going on. Don't sweat my stuff, really. In life there are a lot of things more important than Macross (Wow, did I just say that??)

Seriously, my prayers are with you bud.

    Sincerely,

    Kyu

  8. Hi!

If anyone could help me a bit, I'd appreciate it. I'm using ePSXe and I'm having speed issues with the game. It keeps slowing down, speeding up, and slowing down. I limited the framerate to 50 in the video plugin, but the game is unplayable right now. Any hints or suggestions as to what plugins to use?

    Currently:

    Win98SE

    Duron 800

    Geforce GTS, 32MB

    256MB

    ePSXe

Pete's D3D plugin (old version, not the new one that's requires a high end system)

    Eternal Sound Plugin

Is my system just to slow to handle this? Thanks!

    Kyu
