Was there ever a R1 release of Mobile Suit Gundam with subs? I picked up the first disc, only to find out it had only the english 2.0 on it. The only subs I could find was the movie trilogy of the series, which I already have.

I noticed most of the sightings for it on the allspark were reported from Texas. Hopefully it's on it's way northward, because I checked a few Walmarts in eastern PA and was skunked.

Before I found this site+Yamato, I was collecting those 1/55 Toynami MPC things. I now hate them.

For anyone considering buying the WalMart version, know this: The extra prequel 'cartoon' disc is NOT animated. Someone over at TFW2005 has it and said it's just scans of the prequel comic book with voice actors narrating it. I think I'll be quite happy with the Target set and reading the comic myself and also enjoying the full disc of special features that the WalMart dic doesn't come with.

I'm sure i heard that about the armour somewhere too. I like the idea.. it makes perfect sense that as the Galactica was in its final few hours of active service, the ship was stripped of most of its armour... hell even a launch bay was turned into a gift shop! It may not be lore from the writers but its a damn fine idea... now back to the BSG site to check on that "mini-sode"....

They had the ribbed Galactica in the Razor flashback tonite. ( Thank god for my DVR, fast fowarding through Flash Gorden was HORRIBLE)
