How long can they follow Basara though? Doesn't Gamlin have to go back to the diamond force?

IMO, it's vague and it's something major. did mylene and gamlin follow basara at the end?

i know that gamlin's death would make a better plot. But since he's my favourite character, I was so delighted when he came back alive in the next episode.

that's some different logic i hope they will come up with a sequel in the future featuring who they end up with

I like Macross 7. Too bad the story never told us who wins Mylene in the end. I personally would want Mylene to pick Gamlin. However, she only 'shines the brightest when Basara is here'. No wonder Gamlin is jealous of Basara. Did the last episode of dynamite imply that Mylene had made up her mind and chosen Basara? Poor Gamlin, maybe that's why he was given a VF-22 to satisfy the rest of the fans out there.

sorry for bringing up an old post. Isn't Gamlin only 18/19? And Mylene is actually 15 later in the series? That only makes them 3/4 years difference.
