Me and my friend triggerhappytonks (hes indian so you can sympathize with the name, but he thinks it cool) have this compiler called dark basic. You may have heard me bitch about it before, but it deserves more credibility. Its modified quickbasic with a 3d game engine. I know most of us geeks can get qbasic down, so dark basic should be pretty easy. The thing is, its one thing to play a game, but when you can make the game it is just as fun. This isn't any rpg maker 2000 (or some prechool program) you contol every aspect of a game but with mostly qbasic code. I know there is a crap load of people with macross 3d models in here, which just adds to the potential of this programmer. (errr this does pertains to games, right mods, being that it is a gaming compiler, eek). I think you could really make some tight ass games at an intorductory level. I expect nothing of you all, but see for yourself what people like you and me are doing with it.

well, its good to hear some feedback, damn i can never get all the good ones in for the poll choices. Whats this about specialits beta, sounds interesting. Anyways, i just got a d.o.d. a month ago and can'stop playing it. It may have dated graphics, but its addictive. Before that, it was all wolfestein multiplayer. I can remember a sweet map mod in it called the instagib server. You got to play in this huge @ss map taking place in the vast snow covered alps (tram mp). You could jump hundreds of feet and you carried a mauser, which one shot would blow you into morcels of gut'n'gore. When you spawned in the tram station and walked outside, you see all these nazis and allies floating hundreds of feet in the air, and here and there they pop like red fireworks. I have to sympathize for the wolfestein people who missed this. Of course there is much more to wolfestein than that.

Any of u guys remember metal gear and metal gear 2: snakes revenge. All my friends say they suck, but i think that it is pretty addictive (if u have the quicksave on your emu ) I have in fact played the first one for nes, but where the hell is this second one. I understand it is on the msx (is it?) Better yet, where can i find the emulator for mg2, i have searched hi and lo. If u could tell where i could find the emulator or more about mg2, it would be much appreciated

Hell ya, the first fm kicked ass! That is one of my favorite rpgs (RPG?). Now, i know you can play ps1 cds on a cdr/rom with an emulator (front mission three is covered), but can you play Ps2 dvds on a dvdrw/rom with an emulator (what about front mission 4??). The reason i ask, is i am soley a computer dude.

im sorry guys, but what is the great deal about chokogin (sp?). I've never bought one, but they look like cheap plastic and are expensive. It also seems they aren't fully painted. If u think im talking out my ass, please tell me what is so great about them, i'd like to know.

And about the sequel why would you want one and WTF would it be about. I mean TV ending all angels are dead shinjis discovers he has purpose in life besides killing angels. Movie ending him and asuka and left on earth to chill. What else would you need shinji's daily after the 3rd impact of wondering the earth eating roots.

Ditto- gainax really cut the series off by finalizing the human instrumentality. The sequel could be like giligans island where asuka and shinji are stuck on an island in the middle of the vast LCL or how about a gig where shinji and asuka recreate human kind nudge, nudge, wink, wink, bouncy, bouncy.

one more thing, is Wonderful days out on the market yet, cuz it looks kick ass!
