I only buy Arcadia Premium Finish valks, from Arcadia.ac, using my Tenso forwarding address, never had an issue.  They even sent the replacement legs for my SV51 to my Tenso address.

Actually started in mmmm 84 ~ 85, (I was 9 years old) after coming to visit the states (I lived in Peru), I was crazy about the Robotech TV show.... so when I came here the first thing I saw in Toys R Us, was a Matchbox Veritech, bought it instantly. When I got to the hotel..... surprise surprise.... the piece of crap didn't transform , boy what a bummer.... Next time I came to Toys R Us.... I saw the Transformers Jet Fire..... bought it instantly, and I was hooked.

I knew the Takatoku brand existed because I got a Orguss and Nickick for Xmas. And to my surprise came with a little booklet with pictures of the Macross Toys (and a battrain or something like that). My mom got me the Orguss and Nickick, because she knew I loved robots, specially Japanese robots (several friends had them in school). She bought them in this little store that imported Japanese stuff. I never knew if they had the Macross toys, but if they did, they had to be very expensive.

So, while here in the states saw a Takatoku VF-1s, going for 700$ on ebay. It was way too much for me, but kept looking checking ebay any now and then. After a couple of years saw the Yamatos, and read about the 1/48s, and saw the pictures also of the FP. Too Cool... but then forgot about them.

Then one day shopping in gamestop for the robotech dvds, they told me if i wanted to reserve the MPC VF-1J, which I did, bought and thought it was the coolest. Then I bought the MPC VF-1S. Then while trying to find the Toynami FP in ebay, I came again face to face to the Yamato 1/48, I thought, I will buy a VF-1S, and the FP; because I couldn't find the Toynami FPs. After I got them in the mail, I was blown away about how cool it was. After that discovered Macross World...

And after that I was hooked to everything Macross; and Yamato. I already have 3 (VF-1j VF-1S & Stealth) with 2 FP (1 Stealth), 1 GBP, and have on preorder the Shin Kudo, and YF-19 (w/ FP).

I got also bitten by the 12" bug... started with the Medicom Darth Vader ROTJ version, although I have in preorder the Takara Kerberos Protect Gear, HT Robocop 3 w/ FP (I already have ED-209, beatiful toy, and freaking big), and plan to buy the Medicom Stormtrooper & Boba Fett; maybe even the Medicom Rei (regular version no bandages).

I think the same as EXO, you can buy so much macross stuff with that money, but everywhere I see, there's a new HT, or Medicom figure...and they always look good on the pics.

By the way.... does anyone know were I can get a spare helmet for the Darth Vader RAH ROTJ?; not even a week old, and the thing fell from a table ; the helmet fell on the carpet.... And know the shinny helmet has 2 little white stress marks, that I HATE....

I'm very anal with my toys, and when they have a problem, that bugs me all day... what can I do... could I buy a new helmet (I don't know if someone has a spare, or if there's someone who does recasts); or paint it, and then gloss it; or sell the whole thing at a loss and get a new one .

Any suggestions?

im looking for a stealth fast pack. it doesnt matter if its open as long its complete and stickered or not.

They're sold out everywhere, I was looking for one too; and I found it on 2 stores, BigBadToyStore.com, but it says the boxes are not in excellent condition. The other store is TISINC99, I've bought several toys here with no problems, and he has the Stealth FP, which I bought.

Mentioned in the VF-0 thread, but I'll mention here as well. Yamato just told me they will be changing the breakage prone shoulder and lower swivel pieces on the VF-0 toy to POM plastic, which will be more durable than the present ABS arm parts. This change will start with the upcoming Shin VF-0A.

Replacement parts will also be available through HLJ when the parts are available in a month or so hopefully.

Yes I think it's standard, mine don't match either, but when they're on, they don't fall off so.... it's not a big deal for me...

I have 3 1/48 VF-1 (J, S, J Stealth) , and I couldn't be happier with them. They're sturdy, you can pose them easily (they keep the pose), they are pretty solid.

I had also a VF-0S, beatiful..... but what a floppy mess , the arms were so floppy that you couldn't pose them, and the valk when in fighter mode, when you picked it up, it bended a little bit in the middle ; I guess this is because of the sliding nosecone. I loved this valk, but I ended up selling it on ebay, because of all this. Also that I heard that the new VF-0A, was much sturdier.... so my plan was buying a VF-0A, and wait for the second generation VF-0S. Now there's also problems with VF-0A , with stress marks/broken shoulders... Hope they fix it with the Shin Model

YF-19 came out, beautiful toy, and again there's rumors starting about stress marks, and broken parts, floppy wings ...

It's either that they're fragile, or they have serious QC problems...

There's two MWers who make decals (anazasi37 & Night Stalker) they have set a webpage where you can buy them. They have a lot of different ones... Now if you don't like decals and prefer stickers, there's a MWer, Takatoys who makes great stickers.

I'm not sure which stickers come with Kakizaki, but I'm pretty sure they must be the standard ones that come with all the other 1/48 valks.

I wasn't going to buy a PS3 until april or may, because basically I thought, It was gonna be hard as hell to find one, so I didn't even tried.... and I thought I could use the money to instead buy Yamato Macross goodies (lots of valk )....

I went yesterday to a Gamestop just around the corner from where I live, I had to buy a little nephew a present, he is 7 and becoming a little video game freak as me (he has a gamecube), so I thought to give him a used Gameboy Advance (around 20$ + 5$ for insurance), along with a game; and get him started on portable gaming. So I was in line minding my own business, when I notice the woman in front of me, returning a bag with a big box inside, I start to try to look at the contents..... and oooohhh my gawd..... she had a PS3 and was returning it......... .... she said something that she had another and if she could return it also..... , I was thinking WTF????? she has two???? and is returning both?????.... when she went to the car to bring the other one.... I went to the salesman, and asked If she was returning them, and if they were ok or had something wrong... He told me that the lady bought one for his son (preorder I guess), her husband bought another one for the same kid (preorder I guess again), at the end the spoiled brat wanted a wii, so what did they do..???? they returned both.......

It was my chance.... I scanned very quickly the store and saw a couple of people eyeing the boxes..... but.... tough..... I was after the lady on the line.... so to make the story short.... I BOUGHT THE PS3 ..... I now really believe in xmas miracles, what are the chances to find a PS3, on a December 23rd.... talk about being in the right place at the right time...

Well so I bought it, along with Resistance Fall of Man (I think the best of the games available), and I can say that I'm gonna have a very, excuse me VERY VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!! JOY JOY JOY

I also have the same problem.... "japan_toyz" - bought a Soul of Chogokin GX-29 Black Ox. Got the same email from ebay. Tried to email the guy and I get a delivery failure; so I also filled a complaint with paypal. This has never happened to me before....

I recently bought the soul of chogokin Spider-man from an ebay seller called japan_toyz, I just recieved a warning email from ebay that their seller privledges had been suspended and user name canceled. The email encouraged me to file a dispute via paypal. I have already verified this email was from ebay and also filed a complaint with paypal. has anyone here had any dealing with this seller? there feedback looked ok at 100% before I bought it. Just wanted some opinions.

Well, if they release the Ghost in a separate package (that I know they will) later, then it's a no brainer, it's a matter to choose between a couple of white lines....

My humble opinion is get the 0A, and then buy the Ghost; so you won't spend so much upfront by buying a combo with both....

I'm a bit uncertain as to which version of the VF-0A to get.

I like the cannon fodder's missile accessories, but I like the bonus Ghost fighter of Shin's version.

Since I can't afford both, I want to know which version you guys from the board like the most.

Does anyone know what color should I paint them to match the valkyries (VF-1j Rick/Stealth, VF-1s Roy & VF-0s/a)?

He He He , I'm on step E , although I bought the VF-0S instead of the VF-0A (and yes it's very loose), VF-0A is on my list anyway. I differ also in that I bought the FP and the GBP. And I'm waiting (mail) for the Optimus (w/trailer) and SOC Daiku Maryu Gaiking (I already have SOC Mazinger Z, Aphrodite and Boss Borot).

I also started my collection looooong ago with a Jetfire, but forgot about it for a long time, only to start now collecting like crazy (buying at least a toy a week). The funny thing is that my new addiction to valkyries started with the Toynami MPC Rick & Roy (well veritechs actually), although now it's Yamato for me.

It's funny that I started my collection thinking my choices were pretty unique only to find out by looking at the forums that pretty much my choices are standard fare .

Get the Following:

a) Vf-1s Roy and Vf-1j

b) vf-0A (not the vf-0s, its loose, and color cant match that of vf-0a)

c) vf-1j super stealth

d) optimus and starscream Masterpiece (takara version ONLY)

e) Wait for yf-21 and second reliece of yf-19 in 1/60th, or you could get the yf-21 1/72 which is still nice i think

f) Get Binalteck Shockwave, and maybe Jazz too

g) Get vf-1a low vis if you can afford it, or wait for yamato to make it in 1s, and JUMP on it

if you still have money, get the following:

h) Low vis 2, and maybe the armor as well

i) Get the new SDF-1 from wave (though i dont know for sure if it will be good, sure look good though)

j) Alpha: the quality sux compared to yamato, but i like to have the green one with other milatary stuff. I think maybe the shadow one could be good too.

h) get Gundam Models, or the Fix ones

i) get the macross 2 model, and paint it silver.

j) get spawn figurines

Still have money left???

k) get the super strike parts

l) get the display stand, i recommend the silver one, but the others ones are nice too.

m) Flexi display

n) Save your money for the new stuff comming out

I'm new in this board, (although I've been reading for quite a while).... and I bought Devin's stickers because of all the good comments from everyone , and I'm quite happy with them . They're waaaay better than the Yamato's. Thanks for the great work, and best luck and wishes on your PHD.

I'm just starting my Valk collection, and the Yamato stickers are useless . Does anyone else makes stickers; is takatoys still in the business?
