We have a 1984 Bandai 1/55 Macross DYRL “Elintseeker”; considered one of the holy grails of Macross collecting.

The good - Valk & Armor are in mint to near mint condition.  Super clean!  All joint are tight & armor has no broken pieces.  Almost no paint rub on nosecone.

The bad - Box & Styro show some wear.  There are some missing accessories.  No instructions, catalog, sticker sheet, heatshield, or left arm antenna attachment.  Only has 3 of the 5 missles, but they are still on the sprue.  Has the 2 individual antenna which goto the booster packs, but they are repro.  Small divit mark on the rear back plate.

I’ve done my best to describe this 40 year old relic.

This RARE version of Minmei / Minmay shows her in her "Do You Remember Love" concert dress from the ending of Macross DYRL. Statue is 7" tall. These were made @ 15 years ago. I found a small stash of these while cleaning out my storage. All items are case fresh new. Get them while they last.

This is an unlicensed 8" figure distributed by Twin Moons Anime. It came out in the early 2000's. Sold in a white box & styrofoam, no art work.

I'm looking for some old school 1/55 Bandai Valkyrie/Jetfire parts; specifically a Valk left hand & a "backplate hinge" (the part that folds open to let the head come through the back plate during transformation).

I don't mind if they are yellowed; as long as they're not broken. LMK if you have these parts for sale.

Anyone have any Macross 1/48 TV hands for sale. (the rounded pre-posed hands, not the "chicken hands") LMK.

At the time you saw the Spartan, did you see any others? Do you remember what it was selling for at the time?

I am pretty sure the SDF-1 cels (hankens?) that XSToys owns are all part of the same commercial art used for the side graphics on the old IMAI/ARII kit boxes. I recall seeing a similar cel of the Defender on eBay for a high starting bid...in the thousands if I remember correctly...I think one of the vendors was selling it at the MW Con in 2013....not sure if it sold or not.

Does this kind of stuff still make it to Mandarake often?

It's a shame Japan is so far away for me...I'm sure their web listings just scratch the surface of what is available in terms of vintage Macross items at their shops...

That is awesome...and I always look forward to seeing it brought out of your vaults for the MWCon....I did not see any pics of it from this year's con though....did you bring it out?

Anyway, I always thought they were made specifically for the model kit box graphics.....like the Spartan that I have in my collection....but I guess they were multi-purposed!

Someday I'll haul out my stash to the MWCon....someday......

That's a great SDF-1 poster! I actually own the original cel that poster came from. This giant cel is poster size!
